Stayed at Savannah House in Branson, MO on August 1-4, 2012. It's a GREAT place to stay...clean, friendly and welcoming staff, beautiful views. Breakfast is great and the dessert in the evening is GREAT! Very reasonable price! Highly recommend.

My in-laws picked this location, and I was skeptical because of the low cost. What a surprise! This place is clean, friendly, great location and a wonderful view. It's a little dated, but not enough to notice. The beds were comfy. The breakfast was tasty, and you get cobbler, cookies and ice cream each night. In Branson, there is so much to do, you aren't spending a lot of time in the hotel... so save your cash and stay at this nice spot off the strip and away from the hub-bub. If you are headed to Silver Dollar City, it's easily accessible from the Savannah house and avoids the traffic.

The outside of this hotel is just beautiful. As you drive in front of the property you are greeted by a gazebo, in a garden with a waterfall flowing down the hillside that the hotel sits on,surrounded by well kept lovely flowers. The front desk area is very nice, and free of clutter. The personal service you get upon check in is top notch. All rooms are reached by going through the lobby to the elevators. I like that security feature.
From 9pm to 11pm they have cookies and ice cream for the guests, it is a very nice way to relax after shows. They rooms are very spacious. The beds are firm, without being hard. The bathrooms are big enough that my 17 year old daughter and I both were able to use the mirror in the morning to get ready (without too much drama!). The checkout is 1 o'clock. That is a big plus in my book also. Breakfast is great also. They have bagels, yogurt, fruit, cereal, toast, doughnuts, eggs, gravy, biscuits, oatmeal, waffles, milk, juice, and I'm sure I'm leaving several things out. You wont go away hungry. They food looks and tastes good too. The cold food is kept cold, the hot food is kept hot.
The price of this hotel is great considering all the extras you get. You are treated like your at a bed and breakfast. This is our second time here, it will not be our last.

Incredible suite with Jacuzzi tub, 2 TVs, 2 phones, great accommodation, to top it off excellent price. Breakfast very well prepared and attended, and my wife loved the cobbler, ice cream, coffe and tea coming back from the shows. The front desk service very very good. (Michael does an excellent Jo to please the customer).

I was looking for a nice clean hotel with a hot breakfast to feed a family of four. My boys are 9 and 13 and eat their own weight at breakfast sometimes. For growing boys, the breakfast was excellent. Orange juice, milk, eggs, waffles, biscuits, and cereal (all of the above) were on each boys tray. Imagine the cost of going out to eat at Denney's versus what this hotel provided for free with our stay. The evening dessert from 9 - 11 stayed open later than expected. A great thing since we came back from the attractions at 11:15pm. Our family was able to enjoy ice cream and cobbler. Super friendly stay. Clean room. $60 - $70 range. Two thumbs up.

Room Tip: This hotel has two or three separate buildings. Ample parking around either building.

I guess I had expected more from this hotel, as it was priced a bit higher than many of the other comparable hotels in the area, but I ended up being a bit disappointed. It was an okay place to stay, and I might give it another try someday down the road, but my first stay did not exceed my expectations.

The location of the hotel is good, it is off the strip, and it is easy to get to stores and gas stations, without having to go through the traffic on the strip. The hotel is quite beautiful from the outside, with plenty of places to sit throughout the grounds, giving it sort of a cozy feel.

Check in was easy, the front desk clerk was friendly.

We were placed in the main building, so after we checked in, we drove to the back of the building, parked, and entered the building through the back door. Inside the hallway, there was a huge fan blowing onto the floor... drying it out, I assume. Our room looked pretty clean... not spotless, but clean. There were stains on the carpet, and there was a bit of dust in the shower. The room had an odd, unpleasant smell to it, and the bedspread on one of the beds smelled like dirty feet. The beds were pretty comfortable. There was no refrigerator or microwave, though they are available for an extra charge. It wasn't easy finding a place to plug in cell phone chargers, there was only one free outlet that was somewhat easy to get to. Plugging in anything additional required a lamp or clock to be unplugged. The tv was old style. The decor was good. The toilet seemed like it had trouble flushing. I could see my car from the window, which was comforting.

The cobbler, cookies, and ice cream each night at 9 was a nice treat. The cobbler was delicious. The first night, they had peach and berry. The next night, they had cherry and blackberry. Topped with a bit of ice cream, it was delicious. The dining area was spacious and comfortable, and always clean.

The breakfast was good: Two varieties of scrambled eggs (plain and with ham), a better than average bread selection, Krispy Kreme doughnuts, yogurt, fruit (peaches and mixed fruit), oatmeal, cereal, biscuits and gravy, and a few other things. The coffee was excellent. The orange juice tasted watered down.

Coffee, cappuccino, hot chocolate, and ice water were available in the lobby at all times, which was really nice. Again, the coffee was good.

The pool was a little on the small side, but was clean. There was one pool per building, both were outside pools.

Check out was easy, and the staff throughout the entire stay were pleasant and helpful.

I might stay at this hotel again, perhaps the other building is newer and better taken care of. This hotel has a lot of potential, but they need to do some updating of their building... fix the slow toilet, fix whatever it was that caused the hallway floor to need to be dried out with a powerful fan, launder their bedding on a regular basis, and perhaps lower their prices a bit.

We like to stay at Savannah House in Branson when we go down for conferences and church events. It's very clean, the staff is pleasant and helpful it's away from crowds! The breakfast is ok and hot cookies and cobbler at night is great! Not the cheapest in Branson but mid-range.
