We love the Wilderness at Silver Dollar City...We have stayed there each of the last five years...It's close to Silver Dollar City, they provide free shuttle to Silver Dollar City, and the staff is friendly. The spots are spacious and the facilities are very nice. We love this campground.

My family and I just returned from Branson for our family vacation. We stayed in our pop up camper for 5 nights at The Wilderness. We were very impressed with this campground. The camp sites were large, shaded, and level. The only downside to our campsite was that it was near the highway, but other than that, we loved it. The restroom/shower house was one of the cleanest & best ones we have seen at a campground. The pool was also very nice. The woman who worked at the campstore/check-in desk was very nice as well. We also purchased 2 day tickets to Silver Dollar City for the price of a 1 day ticket at the campstore. The location is great; near all of the attractions of Branson, but far enough away to have the camping experience/atmosphere. For only $26 a night (water/electric site), it was also very affordable and the cheapest campground we have ever stayed at.

We met family here and rented several cabins. Our family (with small children) stayed in a cabin with a loft. The kids loved it and it was large enough that most of the family could be inside or on the porches or at the picnic table. It was great having gas grills. The fridge was a good size. The staff were friendly. My only disappointment was the sink -- it was the size of a bar sink. When you are trying to cook dinneror breakfast for a group of people, it is almost impossible to wash dishes in a bar sink. Everything else was well planned in the cabin, but the sink is much too small.

The pool was nice and clean. The playground was great. The shuttle to Silver Dollar City was awesome. We had a great, relaxing vacation. We were close enough to everything, but it was very peaceful and quiet -- really felt like you were in the woods.

Our family (two adults and children 3, 7,9) stayed in a cabin without a kitchen. For $121 I feel the accommodations were just average. We had more amenities and similar amount of space in other hotel suites for less money. However, the shuttle service to Silver Dollar City was fabulous. We were so glad not to deal with the traffic and parking.

The campground and cabin area is quite large. We were a ten minute walk (little legs) from the office and pool. The beds were comfortable, but rather squeaky - one queen and twin over full bunkbed. We had a 4-cup coffee maker, toaster, microwave, dorm-size fridge, and a gas grill. It was very hard to do any light cooking with the only sink being in the bathroom. Unexpectedly, the bathroom walls did not extend to the ceiling, which made it less private and the light from the bathroom spilled into the whole cabin when someone needed to use the bathroom at night.

The staff was limited and we waited 25 minutes to check-in, arriving at 2 p.m. The main areas of our cabin were clean, but there were many knick-knacks and silk flowers set about to decorate and these were covered in a very thick layer of dust. The cabin would have been nicer without them. I didn't see any evidence of roaches as posted by another reviewer - thankfully!

We stayed here in a pop up trailer over the 4th of July. We had an overall postitive experience. When I made my reservation in May there were not many spots to choose from so we got a smaller site, quite a way from the restrooms/showers. It was also pretty small, but it met our needs as spent the week at Silver Dollar City and did not do any cooking or spend much time at the campground. OUr spot was also near the highway so it was not very quiet. The pool was nice, traditonal and a good size. The showers/restooms were clean and well maintained. THe shuttle to SDC was very nice. It takes you right to the gate so you don't have to fight traffic and the busy parking lot shuttles. OVer all a good experience if we camp here again I hope we can get a more secluded campsite
