My wife and I stayed here for a Sunday-Wed trip. The resort is top notch. We ate in both restaurants in the resort and the are both worth the expensive price tag. We would both recommend the pork chops. They recently got a new head chef and it shows. At the resort we stayed in a normal room for most nights and then the resort upgraded us to a top level suite on the last night due to a leak in our first room. I'm not sure how much more the suite was but I wouldn't pay it unless you have a larger group there with you or you just need the space. The suite did come with a bar and a fridge. Both rooms had balconies over looking the lake which is a must! The pool was nice and had a bartender on call. The spa was great, but like other aspects it was unreal expensive for what you get!

Overall the resort is great considering how cheesy Branson is. If you have the money stay here. If you are looking to save some money...think otherwise.

When we pick up our daughter from a nearby camp we always stay at the Chateau and get a special room service dinner. The beds are so comfortable and we enjoy the room service very much.

We booked the "Bed & Breakfast" Package (best prices are mid-week) for Tues., Wed., & Thursday April 29, 30, & May 1, 2008. This package included a Traditional King Room (392 sq. ft) and "All-American" breakfast (large portions, juice, eggs, meat, hash browns, toast, & pot of coffee) delivered to your room by wait staff who set up your table complete with linens and fresh-cut flower in vase. You choose the time that fits best to your schedule for breakfast delivery. The brochure showed a room with bacony, however, we were first given room without a balcony-view was of roof top. This resort is located on Table Rock Lake and since this was still "off season" with room occupancy low, we requested a room with a lake view. The front desk had no problem in re-locating us to a better-view room. Room size was adequate, mattress less firm than we are used to, but, everything else was great and very clean. We did book Spa services: reflexology, deep-pressure massage, pedicure, and head/foot massage. This Spa facility has been opened somewhere around 3 years. It is the most luxurious environment I have ever experienced! You are treated as VIP's and for the prices, you should be. If you are staying at the hotel, for a daily $20.00 charge, you can use the lounge, stocked with waters, teas, fruits, flat-panel TV's, and very comfortable chairs, sofas, etc. You have access to the co-ed whirlpools, inside and out, eucalyptus steam rooms, & dry saunas. Robes/sandals provided. Definitely would have booked additional services if prices were more reasonable. Will stay @ the Chateau again!.

Stayed in April 08 for a buss convention and extended the stay for a day for leisure. Very nice property with a nice staff. We were greeted by most everyone as we walked through the property. Overall the hotel has a nice Embassy Suites type feel to it in its design. (Sans the free morning breakfast)

The room was standard, nothing too fancy but clean and with nice furnishings. We stayed on the 10th floor which had a nice view of the lake and surrounding area. Our travel companions were on lower floors and had nice views of rooftop air conditioners. The room had a standard bathroom and outside an additional vanity area with sink. There was a coffee maker but no fridge in the room.

As other reviews stated, the hotel's public areas are all very nice, well maintained and inviting. The hotel has a nice (and apparently newer) bar area which had a great bartender. The only downside is it is Branson and the bar closed down early each. (11pm-ish)

We had a nice convention rate of $130 a night which I feel was a good value for the hotel.

I stayed at the Chateau for a conference in early March. I'm not a big Branson fan, but I would go back to stay at this hotel again. I can't see enough about the staff. They were courteous, accomodating, and always had smiles.

The Spa was wonderful as well. I had two treatments and both were delightful. This was the best conference hotel I've been to in a long time.

My family of 5 just returned from a 7 night stay at the Chateau on the Lake in Branson, MO. We booked the Vice Presidential Suite and one connecting room with 2 doubles overlooking the lake. Although the cool weather did not permit enjoying it, both the suite and the room had a small balcony with 2 chairs. The VP suite also had a one-person jetted tub. On the first day I spent 8 wonderful hours in the Spa Chateau. The massage therapist, Jodi, was wonderful. My only complaint is that I was not offered a lunch and having only had a cup of coffee before my services was famished by 5 PM! They kept directing me to their "snacks" which consisted of a few grapes, whole apples and dried fruit that could not be identified. Also, there was water, but no juice offerings. I got the idea that the spa was not very well managed. Use of the laundry services (2 washers and 2 dryers on the 10th floor) is free, with charges only for the soap and softener. We purchased our own at the Walgreens just down the hill and kept up with our laundry... less to do when you get home. The Chateau Grille is the restaurant in the hotel and the food is very good. Service is friendly, but we opted for room service after twice waiting nearly 30 minutes to receive the check after finishing our meal. The hotel is very quiet, but the indoor pool was very crowded each time we tried to use it. The Sweet Shoppe had wonderful ice cream and coffee and stayed open until 11PM! The hotel is just a short drive to the Branson strip, and there are many dining choices on the way. On our last day we stopped in Danna's Barbecue and Burgers for a late lunch (a sign outside boasted "The best burgers in Branson!")... Although my husband opted for the catfish plate, I got the single cheeseburger and onion rings and was not disappointed. This is also the ONLY place that offered freshly brewed SWEET TEA!!! I think if we return to Branson I'll stop in there first and buy a gallon to keep at our hotel! As for the shows: We went to the Dixie Stampede and were very entertained. Just be cautious where you purchase your tickets, and be aware that if you purchase them and receive "vouchers" you will have to stand in line to pick up the actual tickets before being admitted. The show lasted 3 whole hours... beware if you have little ones with early bedtimes or short attention spans! All in all we had a very relaxing stay and would probably return to the hotel on a future visit. (Especially in the warmer seasons to enjoy the lake activities.)

  • Liked — The quiet hotel and relaxing rooms
  • Disliked — The VP suite got "hot" andwouldn't cool off even with the windows open

My sister and I just returned from the Chateau on March 17th. We had booked the Girlfriends Spa Weekend. It was an absolute fabulous time. This is the second year we have done this and will continue to do it in the future.
We arrived on Saturday and our room was ready and very nice. Our wine and fruit was delivered right to our room. Everyone there was extremely nice and helpful.
The spa is the best spa I have ever been in. Very relaxing and peaceful. We spent 6 hours there on Sunday getting our facial, pedicare and massage and using the other things like the sauna, pool, etc.
We ate their breakfast buffet on Sunday morning. It was $13, but we got our money's worth. Very good selection. The omelets are wonderfull!
We love the Chatea for it's location outside of the hustle and bustle of Branson. We got to enjoy shopping and eating in Branson, but could then come back to the quiet of the lake.
All in all was a great girls weekend away.
