This was the first vacation that did not need any indepth planning. This resort is great and very affordable. The check in all the way to check out was wonderful. We stayed 5 days and didn't have to leave the resort.(We had packed or food before arriving) The rooms were spacious and clean. We had a kitchenette in our room. The decks were very pleasant. The marina has so much that you can do. Fish, kayak, boat rental, paddle boats, a nice clean beach and all it was for FREE except the boat rental that is very affordable. We visited all three pools, they all have their own perks. One for younger kids, one for the older kids and then a quite one for the adults. For the kids young and old there was also FREE bikes a game room to keep them busy and a market for that quick Ice cream.
There was a little mishap that we overlooked simply because mistakes happen, especially when 2 different reservations under the same name can be confusing. Who would have thought two people with the same name would be staying at the same place for the same amount of time!!

WE WILL FOR SURE GO BACK!!!!

We know there are a lot of positive reviews for Still Waters and we have to agree that the amenities of free paddle boats and fishing are great. The view at the lake is beautiful.

The swimming pools, as one previous poster noted, are small, however the new island oasis is nice and all of the children there seemed to enjoy it.

The cons of this resort have mostly been mentioned already. After paying quite a bit a night to stay at this resort, we were disappointed to have to haul our trash to a dumpster two buildings away plus exchange our towels on a daily basis (and to get toilet paper). We stayed in what appeared to be the older part of the resort with family members (buildings C and E) and both buildings are in need of updating. That aside, the cleanliness of our room was borderline: tub was moldy and fans were filled with dust. We did have issues with some of the things in our room working and they attempted to fix them.

We did talk to a couple who were staying in one of the newer buildings closer to the lake and they said their room was great. We were told these buildings were completed in 2006.

Overall, we would most likely not stay here again.

stillwaters, manager at Still Waters Resort, responded to this reviewResponded 22 August 2007

It is not our normal policy to respond to personal opinions on Tripadvisor because we do respect those opinions and want to encourage feedback from our customers.

In this case, we contacted the reviewer via Tripadvisor three weeks ago to try and obtain more specific information, clarify some statements made in the review and even try and address the issue with the reviewer. The reviewer has not responded.

While we had several questions about the entire review, we have really been confused particularly on one specific point regarding the buildings and location of facilities.

The reviewer believes Building C "needs updating" -- Building C was just redone in May 2007 and has granite countertops, new cabinets, new beds, new stove tops, new patio sets, new vanities, new paint, new carpet, new fixtures and faucets, etc. including brand new ceiling fans (that are cleaned). We would like to think that an individual who actually stayed in a C unit could not possibly believe it was "dated". The building was just repainted as well. There is also a trash disposal area right between the C and E buildings so it is not nearly as far as the reviewer stated.

Our rental standards mandate minimum updates approximately every 5-6 years to our buildings and we are doing 2 buildings a year at the moment so at worst you are looking at buildings with a 2001 remodel. We have 172 units over 12 buildings on almost 20 types of layouts containing Studios 1BR, 2BR and 3BR. Further, our website is very clear on current photos, pricing, the types of units and layouts of each building and unit. Simply put, you get into the same kind of unit you reserve on-line or via phone. There should be no surprises.

The other concerns (cleanliness, maintenance issues, etc) we can honestly say that our staff can and does make mistakes and we do have unit maintenance issues that arise while guests are staying in the units. This is the nature of the business we are in. We just do our best to correct them as soon as possible once we realize the issue exists. After checking our maintenance and housekeeping logs, front desk records and querying our staff, there was no guest arrival in C and/or E during July that reported a specific or even close general set of complaints as disclosed here. This is very odd since most problems do get reported in some manner.

Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to respond.

We just got back from our first stay at Still Waters and had a great time. Still Waters is more like staying in a condo on the lake rather than a cabin. Cabins give you a more rustic lake feel, but these condos are nice and modern. We were in a 2 bedroom 2 bath lake front luxury unit. We were told it was recently remodeled and it was done very professionally.

The pools are very nice and the newest one features a great hot tub. They could have made the new pool bigger because it gets pretty crowded, but it's not like there aren't other places to swim (giant lake for instance)! There is plenty for kids of all ages to do at this property including basketball, volleyball, swimming by the dock, fishing, jet skiing, etc.

The marina is well equipped with just about anything you need for an outing on the lake whether you want to relax in a pontoon or go out in a ski boat (new Crownline 21ft bow riders).

The market store/restaurant is a nice benefit to have close for a quick snack.

The entire property is very clean.

We've stayed at quite a few places around TableRock and will be going back to Still Waters.

We just returned from a week stay at STR and we were very satisfied. There was a ton of things to do. The new pool was wonderful with the zero entry. The kids loved the pool. There is a life gaurd on duty. We stayed in luxury lake front 2 bedroom/2 bath condo in building L. The view was great from the patio. It was very roomy for the family. The furniture was very comfortable. The kitchen was big and the washer and dryer was very handy. The staff was friendly. You could hear the noise from above but staying at a resort, this should be expected. This is a very family friendly resort with a lot to do. TableRock Lake is very clean, clear, and warm. We are now planning to go there again. We would highly recommend this resort to anyone.

My Family has been going to Stillwaters for more than 8 years. Every year the property gets better. They have nice pools, boat docks and areas for family entertainment such as volleyball, basketball and horseshoes. This year they had a great new pool area with zero entry, waterfall, huge hot tubs and huge cushy tanning chairs. My kids refuse to go anywhere else on a summer vacation. Two of my brothers also go every year and now the second generation families are coming as well. I would recommend this resort to anyone who loves the water. Although my family tends to stay away from Branson's nightlife there is tons to do if you want to spend some time with all the shows.
