We booked this cabin for our 50th anniversary getaway. We had problems with the door lock the entire time we were there. The instructions were not complete and the sun made it difficult to read the keypad. There was only about one tablespoon of regular coffee so we had to buy our own - a first in anyplace we’ve ever stayed. The grill and kitchen were fine, but we soon realized there was no salt or pepper. If you provide a kitchen and utensils you really could provide salt and pepper, too. Also, there was only enough soap and shampoo for one person for one shower. Good thing we brought our own. Everything else worked fine, but the place certainly didn’t wow us like we were expecting. The front porch needs staining, there was an oil spot on the bedroom carpet, and there was a floor tile cracked in the second bathroom. A few throw pillows in the living room would have been welcome, too. For the past 8 years we’ve stayed several days in a cottage in Asheville NC which is similar to this, but everything is done at a much higher level, and for less money. I think if we weren’t used to it we would have been much happier with this place. For most people this place would be very nice, but we just expected more.
