“Another good time at the lake.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 May 2012 via mobile

We stayed here 2 nights during memorial day weekend in cabin 19. It was a small mobile home with 2 bedrooms. It had central air and a private deck that had a beautiful lake view. The kitchen is fully stocked and everything is very clean. One of the bedrooms is very very small and it would be hard to imagine 6 adults sleeping comfortably in that cabin. We had 3 adults and one child and it was perfect. The beds were good and the kitchen/livingroom area fit all of us very well. Chieko, the owner is a very nice lady and she did everything she could to make us comfortable. The lake is a short drive across the resort but is not ideal if you do not have a boat. We love to go to a beach and set up for a few hours. This might have been easier if we would have been staying in one of the larger cabins closer to the lake. The pool and playground area is great for kids. The grounds could use a little TLC but still very peaceful. There are neighbors close by and some are a tad on the dumpy side. I really liked how close this was to town. It was a short drive to Walmart and the outlet mall. Big plus in my book.
Overall we had a wonderful time, but on my next lake trip I might look into the cost factor a little more. The nightly rate was for 2 people and we were charged $9 a night for each additional person even though the cabin slept 6.
Oh yeah and one warning: we had very little hot water our entire stay. Each shower turned freezing cold within 5 to 8 minutes. I guess you just gotta be quick.

We just returned from a family get-together at GVR and after reading a few of the other reviews, I felt compelled to add my my review. I made our original reservation online and prior to arriving had a phone call from the owner saying she would need to move us to Unit #19. I had no objection and upon arriving was okay with the modular-type 2 bedroom unit. My main concern was that it was clean, and it was. Chieko, the owner was also very accommodating when we asked if there was another unit available for another member of our family who originally planned to stay with us, but everyone was more comfortable with them having their own 2 bedroom unit. The daily rates were very reasonable and the location would be hard to beat. The boat dock was a fun place to swim with noodles. We rented a pontoon from GVR (with yellow cover) and had a great day on the lake. Nice system for getting clean towels, trash bags, & toilet paper. The grounds definitely could use some TLC, but we came for the lake and that was great.

Room Tip: Units 19 & 18 are like small mobile homes, have central air which kept us very comfortable despi...

We stayed two nights in July. It was okay (only because we didn't pay too much), but disappointing based on what I saw on the website.

Good:
The pool and swimming dock were nice. There was a nice play area for kids. Lots of picnic tables and grills. You could exchange towels or get new supplies pretty much anytime.

Bad:
There was litter scattered around on the ground and around the pool. Our cabin smelled like an ashtray. The cabin (supposedly on the lake) was made of cinderblocks and was VERY basic and was NOT on the late.

If it had a fitness center and kids activities, I didn't know about them.

Room Tip: I don't recommend the lake cabins (number 1-6).

My family and I had never been to Branson. We were coming down from Kansas City to get a puppy. The family that we got the dog from recommended Green Valley Resort. When I checked it out online, I was really surprised at the rates so we booked a 3 night stay in cabin #20. I had no idea what to expect and we were so surprised and happy to see our accomodations when we got there. It was so beautiful. Our cabin had a beautiful view of the lake from our screened-in porch. The lake was only about 30 yds from our door. Our kids had a great time looking on the shore for shells and floating on rafts. It was like our own private beach. The cottage was completely furnished with a super comfy king sized bed along with 2 queen size sofa beds. One of these was on the screened porch so it was a plus. Everything was very clean and fresh linens were available all day. I had a chance to talk with the owner, Chieko, and found her to be one of the hardest working people I have ever met. She is truly dedicated to making her guests feel welcome and comfortable. We rented one of her pontoon boats and had a great time. It was the way to see and appreciate the beauty of the lake. I would highly recommend a boat rental if you stay there. The rates were very reasonable. The pool area was a huge hit with our kids. They have a good sized waterslide and some very comfortable pool side loungers. They also have a great play area for the young ones that includes an old boat that has been made to be a part of the kids play area. Who needs slides when they can play in an actual boat and pretend to drive? All of the staff was very professional, yet holding onto that lakeside demeanour. I would have loved to utilize the hottub that overlooks the dock but the weather was too dang hot. If you are looking for a Hilton type hotel room, then this isn't for you. These cabins are the epitome of lakeside living complete with bugs, some outdated decor, and a great place to roast some marshmellows and make s'mores. It's why you come to the lake to relax. I would recommend this place to anyone, and my family will be coming back for sure. We loved it!

Room Tip: If you're coming to the lake, then stay in one with a lakeview

We were here on an extended family camp with our grandkids for three days. The owner was very helpful and accommodating. The facilities were excellent for our purposes. We especially liked the arrangement with the playground and pool near and in sight of our cabins. The kids loved rock hunting on the lake shore and playing in the pool. We also used the Resort's boat and tube for fun on the lake. The entrance road and interior roads were a little rough but the staff and pool soon had us forgetting about that. The beds seemed worn but slept well for me.

This was my first visit to Green Valley. We came for a little fishing and to just relax. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. The room was very clean and well supplied with everything we needed. The boat dock had easy access and plenty of room to park our trailer.
We had a great time and have already made plans to come back.

We stayed at Green Valley Resort for a Thanksgiving family reunion. We had searched several places in different locations but this was the best priced and the owner was very accommodating. She had even offered to reserve tickets we needed for shows. We reserved several different units. All the units were very clean, beds were comfortable, plenty of dishes, towels and cookware. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful with our needs. We recommended this to our friends who come to Branson on weekends and will stay here again. It was very peaceful and view of the lake was great.
