Don't get me wrong, Table Rock Lake is a beautiful place to vacation and get away from life's stress. We checked out this place on the internet and thought it would be nice. Well, come to find out everything on the internet is not always correct. The cabin was "cozy." The staff, when they could be found, were pleasant. But they seemed to have a little trouble with communication. We reserved a pontoon boat for 9am one morning. Unfortunately, the owner decided to take that day off. After a half hour of trying to locate someone with authority to take our money, we were told her husband had been at the dock waiting for us. He actually drove by me while I was standing outside the office, but didn't ask if I needed anything. When we met him at the dock, he didn't have the boat key and we had to wait for his wife to bring it from home. Now, we did have a pleasant time floating around the lake but when we returned, there was no one to check in with and give them back the boat key. It was then we decided not to spend another night there. I didn't care that we had paid for the night, I just wanted to get back up the road to where people actually communicated. After about 90 minutes, someone showed up at the office, took the key and we told him we were checking out. No one cared why or asked if we'd had a good time. I think they knew what our answer would be.

Room Tip: Find a place in Branson then drive to the lake.

Beware of those complaining about this place, it is wonderful, have been coming here for years, I have previously written a review on this location, but after seeing a couple of bad reviews I just wanted to update mine.

This IS a location that people stay at for the lake, pool, location, playground, family time. The cabins/cottages are all different sizes and prices. Our favorite is #14, it is close to the water and big enough (we are foster parents so the number of kids change). We really like the fact that if their isn't many of us, Chieko will close of one (or two) of the bedrooms and one of the bathrooms in it and will charge us a lower rate. Cabins 1-6 are small little cabins (I call them cabins, but they are more like cottages I guess), I do not care for these as the showers are really small, but they are still a great price for a 2 bedroom/1 bath cabin. There are kitchens in all so you can cook a lot of your meals. Kitchens are fully stocked. For those that complained about ants... we've never had a problem with them, but keep in mind, you are in Missouri, there are certain times of the year that ants try to invade your homes. We have booked the 4-plex when we've been staying with family and we even had our family reunion here once, it was great because the two lower connects together and the two upper connects together. We've also stayed in 21 and 22 in the 'off' season which is also great for multiple families, again we've had rooms shut off for a lower price if we aren't going to use them. We stayed in 16 once with our in-laws and if you want to, you can rent the entire unit combined as 15, 16 and 20 for a large group, there are MANY beds and rooms that can be shut off, this is a very spacious unit for a lot of people. Chieko used to live in Unit 24 but since has moved out and is ready to be booked, it is beautiful and has gorgeous views of the lake. (side note - I do not know Chieko personally, only from staying here). We haven't stayed in 7 or 8, but some did for our reunion, the units are very cute.

The pool is always nice and clean, there is a playground for the kids, someone had mentioned that at certain times of the year that the playground and pool is closed, the playground is never closed and the pool is heated so it is open for most of the year.

There are docks that you can swim/fish from which was really fun for the kids to be able to jump/dive off. We've never rented a boat but plan to on one of our future stays.

They recently added a covered picnic area with indoor kitchen area that is super nice, it is lite and have outdoor ceiling fans, there are large grills outside the area (every unit has grills as well), during our family reunion we had our meals here and played BUNCO at night.

The cabins are always clean, keep in mind, these aren't brand new cabins so they aren't in brand new condition, but they are always clean. If you want a 5 star resort with marble floors, stay somewhere else and leave these for us! YOU make your vacation what you want it to be.

You MUST go to Dannas BBQ, it's on your way back towards Branson, we go every time at least once! Get a Memphis Roll, they rock (deep fried roll).

Chieko is very accommodating, as I mentioned in a previous review, if the unit we reserved wasn't available once we got there, she has ALWAYS made up for it.

Towel Service - What's great is that if you need more towels, you just take yours to the office, put it in the dirty bin and get new towels. Chieko even lets the little ones feed the fish in the Koi pond.

Again, love this location as it is located in Branson West and you don't have to fight the crazy Branson traffic. If you are going to Silver Dollar City you don't have to drive though traffic.

Feel free to contact me about my review for an honest opinion.

We were a little frustrated when we got there. Seemed very unorganized even though we did it all online. Although there are a lot of things to do the website was like a movie trailer, not as good as when you see the whole thing. Stayed in the fourplex and can hear everything going on upstairs.

Chi provides a very family friendly resort on the quiet side of Table Rock Lake. See layout of resort for family recreational activities (volleyball, badminton, horseshoes, basketball, shuffleboard, tree house, sandbox, jungle gym, tether ball, swings, fire pit). There are two docks and a boat ramp available for bringing own boat, renting boats, and swimming. Our family of four (two teenagers) enjoyed renting pontoon boat and tube for the day. Lake Unit #10 was very spacious (2 bedroom, full kitchen, living room with two sofas and recliner). Very clean if you choose wisely.

Room Tip: Lakeside Cabins #1 - #6 were incredibly small and musty. They were our original reservation until w...

will never be going back. VERY unorganized, VERY limited hot water for showers, for this place so we could cook our own food, couldn't do that cause all the ants over powered the food we brought. The beds were WAY TOO BIG for such tiny rooms, it would be on for an over night but not an extended stay. I will take my business elsewhere!

I was sorry that a couple did not enjoy their staying at my resort. I believed that this review was written because I did not give any discount when she asked me before they check out. I thought her complaining was unreasonable as following:
1) Hot Water; They chose a trailer cabin which has a smaller hot water heater.
2) Bedroom; Even though the bedrooms seemed somewhat smallish but I had upgraded the beds from a full size to a queen size beds many years ago for guests comfort.
3) Ants; It had been raining during their stay. I have some experience that ants do come out of ground to inside the cabin if there were some food ants are attracted. I could have remedied the problem if I was informed but they did not say anything until checkout time.
4) Left a day early; They stayed for three days they paid for but they did not use the free nigh promotion Perhaps weather was factor as it was raining for most of their stay.
Thank you for reading owner’s side of view,
Chieko Henka

We have been coming back every spring break for 5yrs now. We love the location and the cleanliness of each cabin we decide to stay in. During this time sometimes we are the only ones on property. Cheiko always gives us amazing customer service.

We purchased the "Fisherman's Delight" package, so that we could have a pontoon boat to use while there. I wasn't expecting much, but I was really surprised by the size of the boat, and also the cabin rental included. Much better than what you see in the photos! The lake is beautiful and the area is quiet and private. We stayed in cabin #1. It was small- but clean, and cozy- and fine for what we needed. Close to all the attractions, etc. Great getaway place to just veg out and relax if you like being away from the crowds and noise!
Would definitely stay again!
