“Great Weekend Vacation”
Reviewed 2 August 2012

We managed to book a last minute room for a quick weekend getaway. This was our first B&B and it was great. You can be as active or as sedentary as you please. So we decided to simply lay on the deck and in the back yard and read some books and topped it off with a great dinner in the local area. We loved the breakfast but the company was even better. Mike and Dee were wonderful to visit with and extremely helpful with any questions we had. Every room is extremely clean and has everything you could ask for. The drive to the main part of Branson is easy and worth it for the quality of stay. Thanks for the great experience!

Best ever. There are just no other words to describe this experience. My husband and I needed somewhere to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary, and our first trip without our three kids. We are not resort people that need a spa, swimming pool, housekeeping, and room service. We wanted quiet, secluded and near the lake. We got all of that and more. I couldn't decide between the bed and breakfast, or one of the cottages on lake bluff. In the end we went for the cottage. Driving to the anchor inn, you are well away from the hustle and bustle of Branson. You are in the next town over, Branson West. There are a lot of winding roads to go down. When we got to the anchor inn, we couldn't decide to just walk in, ring the doorbell, etc. after all it was their house and we didn't want to barge inn. Suddenly Dee threw the door open and welcomed us inside with a big smile. She had everything waiting for us, and their home was just beautiful! We got our check in information and headed for the cottage, about half mile away. We couldn't believe the place. It was like staying in somebody's comfortable home, it was so beautifully decorated. There were DVD's, board games, books to read. A huge deck with patio chairs and table, plus two huge reclining chairs from cabelas. We spent a long time just sitting in those chairs and staring at the boats on the lake. Best of all, you have your own private hot tub! We were sitting in it one night, staring at the stars, darkness everywhere, no cars going by. Just the sounds of nature. We kept asking ourselves, is this for real?! The king size bed was the best, usually I sleep like crap away from home. The sheets on this bed were so soft, and the bed so comfy. Mike and Dee really think of everything, from first aid kits, to wine glasses, even a sewing kit! I just can't say enough wonderful things about the owners and the cottage. If you are looking for a private, secluded, romantic place with a lake view, you found it! You will not find a place so pristinely clean anywhere!

This was by far the best B&B experience we have ever had. Mike and Dee's Inn feels just like home, they make you feel like family. The breakfasts where simply amazing. We are looking forward going again in the future. Also for those who are picky about their beds, the bed was extremely comfortable the sheets where just the icing on the cake.

Room Tip: All the rooms are lovely, they have a little something for all tastes.

Probably our best all-around b&b experience ever, and we've had several. Immaculately kept, but comfortable. Warm hosts. Beautiful place and surroundings. Can't say enough about the owns or the place itself.

Room Tip: I think they're all great, but especially our room. Which was the Virginia.

Mike and Dee have such a way to let you feel at home with family. They are people who understand how to make you feel at home, they will talk with you or let you be. They show RESPECT for you and ask for respect in turn. The beauty of the area is perfect to relax and rest. You can go into Branson or spend the day on the lake. It is the perfect get away. My wife and I will be back. If your marriage is on the rocks get away from everything including kids, and enjoy one another again. They are awesome when it comes to being a Bed and Breakfast. Thank you Mike and Dee and may GOD Bless you!

Room Tip: Don't spend more money than you need to, the room we had was perfect and it was the one that cos...

Our stay was PERFECTLY DELIGHTFUL! The area , the inn, the room and Mike and DEE.
We went to South Mo to see the area, Branson was an afterthought. The Inn was wonderful, and located just far enough from Branson, yet close enough for all activities.
Would go back just to see Mike and Dee, they are special people.

Room Tip: We loved the Virginia Room, view of the lake.

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at Anchor Inn in September, 2011. There are so many wonderful things to list, but I will try to condense it down: The Inn is perfect, the setting is serene, the breakfast is elegant and delicious, the Mediterranean Lighthouse Room was perfect, the Innkeepers were kind, informative, attentive and just a delight to visit with. If you are going towards the Ozarks, you must stay at Anchor Inn because you will never regret one moment of your time spent there.
