Ok, but priced to high. Ok stay, no refrigerator, no microwave, pillows a bit flat, bathroom door would not close.

I've stayed here twice and both times have had a good experience. The bathrooms are extremely clean and I was quite impressed. I enjoyed the hot tub and the pool area was neat. Every staff member was very friendly and helpful. I appreciated the breakfast as well. The walls are thin, but I can deal with that for the cleanliness of the hotel overall.

Room Tip: I liked the first floor rooms, but keep in mind that the closer you stay to the lobby and pool area...

This was the second time we have stayed at what is now called The Buffalo Inn. You aren't going to find a cleaner room anywhere, or nicer people to help you. I would go out of my way to stay here.

We enjoyed our stay at this motel. While it wasnt a five star resort it was all we needed for a clean, quiet stay. The staff was very attentive to any needs and offered local info. Breakfast was average and sufficient . Thank you staff for your effort to make us feel welcomed and making our stay a good one.

I went to Buffalo to do some family research, and stayed at the Comfort Inn. The staff was very friendly and well, kind. I stayed about four days. The real joy of staying here is the lovely mules across the field next door that "serenaded" me! The manager said that a lot of people especially request that side of the hotel. There is a buffet across the street, and a walmart , and very friendly people. I will definitely go back.

This Comfort Inn was the scheduled stop on the second night of our motorcycle ride to Arkansas. We stayed on July 20, 2008 in room 222. After researching, I booked it on choicehotels.com. I was seeking a comfortable and clean place to stay, that offered an indoor pool and/or Jacuzzi. Of course, I was also seeking the comp breakfast Comfort Inns offer. This little gem offered everything we were seeking and had a very professional, helpful, and friendly front desk clerk named Angela. Angela made our group feel quite welcome. In such a small town, we did not expect such a warm welcome from a road weary and biker outfitted party. Many thanks go out to Angela for her kindness.

Location: Buffalo, Missouri is a beautiful one buffalo town. One cannot really walk to anything. However, it is a short riding distance to a Walmart and a supermarket. Neither are open 24 hours. Additionally, the restaurants in this town included Pizza Hut, Hardees and Sonic. All are a short riding distance. Alcohol can be purchased at the local gas and go type place.

Building: This Comfort Inn has plenty of parking, and a valet overhang, however, it does not have an elevator or luggage carts. There were only 2 floors, so it was not a problem for us. The lobby is decorated nicely and shares its space with the breakfast area. The pool and Jacuzzi can be seen from the lobby area. We enjoyed both until 11:00 p.m. The hotel has an ice machine, drink and snack machines and a first for me, an over the counter medicine machine that held Tylenol, Motrin, Advil and Alka Seltzer. Additionally, there was a microwave available for guest use. But, perhaps the most important quality in a hotel is its cleanliness and in this department, the Comfort Inn in Buffalo, Missouri shines. The place sparkles.

Room: As stated, we stayed in Room 222. As reserved, we enjoyed a king size bed with smoking. The room had the usual furnishings one expects from a Comfort Inn: iron, ironing board, blow dryer, full length mirror and alarm clock. It was a bit bigger than other rooms, with a table and two chairs as a welcome addition to the usual furnishings. The bed was comfy. The television included the free cable. The a/c worked just fine and believe me, it was hotter than hell out, so we needed a good working air conditioning system. The water was hot, plentiful and the pressure was good. The amenities included soap, shampoo and hand lotion. But, most importantly, the room was spotless.

Comp Breakfast: I was very impressed that this Comfort Inn had both a high chair and a booster seat for children. Additionally, the breakfast bar was well maintained and clean. However, while it filled us, it was not as generous as other Comfort Inns that we encountered on this ride. The cereal selection was interesting and included Kashi brand, among others. There were pastries that were obviously previously packaged Mrs. Freshley brand. There was a citrus salad, however, there was no fresh fruit. It had the signature waffle maker, but lacked in the bread department. There was only white bread. But, hey we were full, so that is good enough for me.

To summarize, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Buffalo, Missouri and were treated nicely by the staff. This hotel, while small, was impeccably clean and comfortable. I would not hesitate to recommend it for a short term stay. I would even go one step further and recommend it for a quiet get away. However, make sure you do anything you need to do prior to 9:00 p.m. because this small town delightfully rolls up its carpet.

  • Liked — This Comfort Inn was extremely clean. The staff were outstanding. All were friendly.
  • Disliked — Breakfast at other Comfort Inns are better, but that is no biggie.
