“Fantastic views, great location and modern accomodation.”
Reviewed 24 September 2014 for a stay in September 2014

We stayed here for 2 nights during September. The location is easy to find, with great parking. The best part of the cottage has to be the views from the French doors! Overall, the accommodation is modern and has everything you'd need in the kitchen, living area, bathroom and bedrooms.
The only slight downsides are the constant drone of the boiler, along with the running water sound from the boiler constantly! Additionally, the main bedroom bed is quite uncomfortable (bedding all fresh and clean, mattress uncomfortable). I couldn't find a Wi-Fi signal, though didn't bother us.
A great place to stay, immaculate and really peaceful! The booking and communication was easy.

“Red hot views!”
Reviewed 14 September 2014 for a stay in September 2014

A well positioned cottage with excellent views to the coast. Facilities and car parking also very good. However this was tempered by the fact the underfloor heating was overpowering and noisy. Literature in the cottage asks you not to alter the settings. In contrast to the lounge/dining area furniture and comfort the beds are poor quality.

“Excellent views but earplugs advised!”
Reviewed 10 August 2014 for a stay in August 2014

Excellent views from this nicely appointed cottage which we would have rated much higher bar two things. The main being the under floor heating system, which you are told to leave alone, sounding like the cottage is about to take off. Mostly due to external fan under bedroom window.Fine most of the time except when trying to sleep in double bedroom. I had to resort to buying earplugs to sleep. This was also hampered by a very firm bed from which my husband would wake from with aches. Oh and the WiFi does work but mostly in twin room. Did contact owner about heating system and he is aware.

“Fantastic relaxing break”
Reviewed 1 August 2014 for a stay in July 2014

Beautiful 2 bedroomed property, well appointed, stunning views of bamburgh castle and the Farne Islands from the French doors/patio. Loved low Newton beach, great location for exploring. Loved seahouses. We didn't even make it to the pub, there was no need to!

“Relaxing break”
Reviewed 18 June 2014 for a stay in June 2014

Excellent cottage with amazing views. Good location for visiting Farne Islands which we did. Got a little lost as didnt realise cottage is in Wandylaw. Also forgot to communicate regarding accessing cottage which may have been our fault but no contact from vendor.

“A beautiful peaceful central cottage with gorgeous views”
Reviewed 5 June 2014 for a stay in June 2014

My husband, 2 year old daughter and I stayed here for two nights beginning of June. It was a last minute trip and the owner accommodated us without a problem. The service and communication from the owner has been fabulous from start to finish.

The cottage is spacious enough and has everything you need to just pack up and go. The beds were very comfortable and the cottage itself was lovely and clean.

Now on to the views....gorgeous! The cottage has a big patio door so you can see the view from inside the cottage, you can see Bamburgh Castle in the distance. It has a lovely patio area which makes the most of the views.

The cottage is very central and easy to get to from the A1. Around 10 mile from Alnwick and maybe 7 mile from Seahouses and Bamburgh.

Lastly the cottage is very good value for money and we are already planning our next trip.

Many Thanks

“Perfect weekend”
Reviewed 27 May 2014 for a stay in May 2014

Went there for a 3 days weekend for our anniversary. The cottage was even better than expected. Lots of room and everything you need was there. The view is amazing, its so quiet, you feel completely isolated. Everything was within driving distance, the welcome books at lots of great tips. Especially the Barters Book shop in Alnwick. Pure bliss.
Would highly recommend it, and will come again.
