We visited today completely spontaneously. The museum was closed but a phone call to Trudy and she was right there for us. She is an amazing tour guide. The building is unbelievable. There was a lot of information so I look forward to returning. I'd say not for small children. Thank you Trudy!

Thank you so much for coming. There are only 3 of this unique jail left and they were all built in the 1800's. Again thank you for coming to tour.

Excellent, wasn’t expecting to get a tour but when we called Trudy she made arrangements for a tour within 10 minutes. Definitely worth the stop to see for all ages.

The tour was amazing and our guide was exceptional. The whole structure is a mechanical marvel for its era and worth the time to see it.

We called ahead to book a tour with Trudy. She was very nice and even accomadated a schedule change. The museum is very interesting as there are only 3 remaining. Trudi has a lot of knowledge to share about the jail, the town's history and especially the James brothers. Highly recommend to history lovers.

We turned up on the off chance this place would be open, it wasn't, but a quick phone call to the number outside and Trudi came and met us 45minutes later. She's obviously very passionate about the history of the jail and town despite having "only" lived there for 30years. Her knowledge is outstanding and very informative.

Well worth it if you have 90minutes to spare.

The jail survives on donations, so every little helps to keep it open to the public.
