“Fantastic weekend in a gorgeous home”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 December 2013

We planned a college reunion at the Laughing Boar Guest House during Oktoberfest for 5 couples. We had a fantastic time! The location and amenities were perfect. And the house was clean and nicely maintained. In addition, the kitchen had great appliances and equipment for cooking our meals. I would highly recommend this property to others. Lots of space, with a large dining room table to accommodate everyone.

We used all the rooms and were so glad to share the cooking and meals together...part of the great experience. The kitchen is the best. Coffee on the front porch with the sun coming up was a regular gathering spot. We rode bikes to the KATY trail, walked into town and really enjoyed this central location.
The KATY trail is one of the best rail-trails, with wineries and shops as well as great views of the palisades.
WE'LL BE BACK.

We had a group of 10 women and we had plenty of room. There were beds for everyone as well as plenty of bathrooms ( that says a lot for 10 of us)!! The big dining room table was perfect for gathering around after visiting some wineries. We shared wine, stories and lots of laughter! The front porch was perfect for waiting on the trolley, which would pick us up right in front of the house. I can't say enough great things about this home and its fantastic location!

Stayed for a weekend in October with a group of great friends. The house was perfect! It has a nice living room that's right next to the dining room with a great big table and seating for 8. The kitchen was quaint but the appliances were new and worked great. The backyard has a big deck with a lot of seating and space to hang out and relax. The bedrooms are big and clean. The numerous bathrooms in the house were perfect for our big group. We are definitely planning a return trip to the Laughing Boar.

I stayed with my family at this establishment and was duped by the owner and her husband. I signed a contract for one price. Family members arrived and do to shortage of accommodations some of them stayed next door at the wonderful CAPTAIN'S NEIGHBOR. This establishment then charged me for the guests saying they stayed at her establishment. When we paid her more anyways, she then charged another $225 to my credit card after we left. I would say the only person who is laughing when one stays here, is the owner. STAY AWAY!!

Room Tip: Go next door to the CAptain's Neighbor. YOu won't be mislead.

The house and location are wonderful! We wish there was a flat rate for renting the house since you have to do much of the clean up, it seems you should access to the entire place. The back bedroom is really loud to sleep in with acorns falling on the tin roof. The owners are nice, accommodating and the house is adorable. We loved that there were so many restrooms. We've previously stayed in the Weber house and loved it too!

Just spent another great weekend at the Laughing Boar Guest House with 10 other ladies. Charming home with lots of room and extra showers & bathrooms. 2 coffee pots in the kitchen and they have added larger coffee mugs this year!! We plan to come back next year!
