Made the same trip as in 2009 and stayed there with spouse and three other couples. Had the same suite with two bedrooms and a connecting bath. Owners were as cordial as ever and the weather in Oct was even better than last year. I still heartily recommend this B&B but get your rez in early, esp for the October fest time of year.

The Alpenhorn Gasthaus is a great country B&B. It is close to town, but yet far enough out to feel like you are in the country. It has kitties, chickens, sheep, fantastic food, and wonderful hospitality! The proprietors: Kate & Adrian are super sweet! We truly enjoyed the stories while having wine and chocolate in the wine cellar.

Room Tip: We loved Das Landhaus!

My husband and I stayed in Das Klein haus for our 16th wedding anniversary. The room was absolutely beautiful, intimate and cozy. The food was in one word... amazing. Thank you for making this anniversary our favorite by far. We can't wait to stay again! Take care and hopefully we'll see you soon!

We spent two nights in Das Landhaus last week after a very strenuous bike trip in the heat and humidity. Adrian and Kate are superb hosts; it's no wonder this place is rated #1. They have managed with much hard work, to combine the right blend of privacy and warm hearted friendliness. Fresh baked cookies wait for you in the living room of the inn, along with interesting reading material, games and hot drinks. Adrian showed us around when we arrived, pointing out all the necessary details as well as some charming features. The landscaping on their grounds provides unique privacy from almost every angle; whether in the hot tub or in our cottage, we couldn't see other buildings completely so we felt like we weren't being watched in any one place. It's a relaxing and beautiful place to hang out.
The breakfasts were in a word, FANTASTIC. I consider myself an excellent cook and while I "put up with" food that's mediocre, I was definitely impressed. Kate, you rock!!! You won't go away hungry, the food isn't fussy gourmet, it's real gourmet--fresh and hearty. In a bed and breakfast, breakfast should be outstanding. This is.
We live in WI, which is a pity because I'd be back in a heartbeat if we were closer.
Missing it already; they are the real deal in every way!

Kate and Adrian were wonderful hosts. The food was excellent, the room more than I expected and the view from the porch amazing. This is just the cutest place I've ever stayed. They had sheep, chickens and friendly cats. This is not right in town, but not far from anything at all. Kate is an amazing cook and even shared her recipes! The cookies and tea were a nice touch also! We enjoyed our time here and would recommend this darling little B&B to everyone!

What a perfect place to celebrate our 11th year anniversary! Kate and Adrian are such great hosts that gave us a warm welcome. Everything was absolutely perfect from the immaculate guesthouse, Kate and Adrian's SUPERB cooking (breakfast/supper), to the outdoor hot tub, and stunning romantic wine cellar with chocolate and wine!! You MUST experience the chocolate in the wine cellar. Located in a very nice friendly town with wineries within a close drive. Loved loved loved it and can't wait to plan our next trip back!! Absolutely recommend! Thank you Kate and Adrian!!
