This was our 4th year in a row that my group has stayed at the Alpenhorn Gasthaus with Kate and Adrian. We love the place, the food, the dinners, the hosts, the animals and their cats. My group makes this an annual event each year in October and we book the entire house. We arrive on Friday, hit the wineries in Hermann and then spend Saturday hitting the wineries in Augusta.

Kate and Adrian have great breakfasts and excellent dinners. They are super hosts that will make your stay the most pleasant it can be. We still want to do their cooking class sometime and are discussing some dates for that in early 2013. We have already booked our stay in October for 2013 and our 5th stay where we will again have the entire B&B to ourselves and also a dinner on one of the evenings.

Our stay at Alpenhorn Gasthaus exceeded our expectations! The grounds were charming and the food was delicious! My favorite breakfast consisted of ham and egg cups with fresh herbs, banana nut pancakes, and a pomegranate smoothie. We stayed in Das Klein Haus, which was a separate building than the main quarters. Our room was quaint but the vaulted ceilings made things feel more roomy. Kate and Adrian, the owners, were great hosts and thought of all the provisions to make our stay enjoyable. We will definately visit Alpenhorn again in the future!

We celebrated our 3rd anniversary at this great B&B (our first B&B experience) - from the hot tub to the spacious living room to the mimosas and delicious breakfast it was a great experience, and very close to the Katie Trail and Hermann.

This was our first stay at a bed and breakfast & it was unbeatable. It set the bar so high that i would immagine any future B&B excursions will be a dissapointment. We stayed in the small guest house in the back. It is an old smokehosue from the 1830's and even though it is small it had everything you need and very modern inside. We enjoyed the hot tub just out back, access to the fire pit on the patio & of course touring the wine cellar at our leasure. We did the evening meal and it was 100% worth it, we also did the wine flight pairing with it and loved it! Adrian and Kate were wonderful hosts and we look forward to a return visit!

I can't say enough great things about my stay. Adrian and Kate were wonderful, the food was phenomenal. We enjoyed getting to know the other couples staying there. Overall an incredible experience. Don't miss the 4 course dinner, chocolates in the cellar and breakfast each day.

Although we didn't stay here, we did the four course wine gourmet dinner they do on the weekends.
Pricey, $196 for two, including tip, we had four (glasses) different kinds of wine with each course.. There wasn't a mistep in the menu or choice of wine. Intimate setting and Adrian, our host charming. Wife, is the chef, but she chose not to stop at our table. A shame, because we would have sang her accolades.
