Spent one night at this hotel with my son.
Great location, right by the road.
Front staff could have been friendlier/more informative. Had to ask all the questions myself, about breakfast, check-out etc.
Interior of the hotel speaks more to adults than children. Apart from a sad play area downstairs, not much to do for the six-year old inside (that we found).
Room was excellent. Spacious, clean and great with a bunkbed that could be "folded" into the wall.
The best feature of the hotel was the dinner. Not cheap, but excellent food and service in the dining area. Breakfast was also fine.

Was here last year in the summer. Driving all day long from oslo we landed at the skifer hotel in mist and rain. Apparently the - friendly - staff was glad to see us. I think the summer is not the busiest time of the year and the rates probably come with the season. We were give a nice room for four. Good new furniture, fine beds, good bathroom. Good place to be.

The lobby is very nice and roomy, and indeed there is a fireplace. Must be cozy in the wintertime. Breakfast is good. What more do you want? It was great. Lots of value for your money.

I had a nice stay at this hotel. It was nice rooms with modern design. The bed was really comfortable. The bathroom was clean, but a little tiny.
The restaurant had a nice buffet with really good homemade food.
The staff was nice and polite.

If I go through Oppdal again I will stay here again

This hotel is quite stunning and really looks great . It is centrally located ,so you can walk almost anywhere including the railway station, but on our visit the restaurant was not open on a Monday night . This seemed unusual for a 4 star hotel. We had to go to The Quality hotel and had an excellent, although expensive meal.
The ski areas are a drive away and are used as a training area for ski race training.

The "spa" is really a sauna and although, very good you have to book in advance for spa treatments.

The rooms are very nice and modern, although we did look over a supermarket loading bay, which is the unusual thing about its location.

Our room had a shower but it had underfloor heating and was modern and spacious. They do have rooms with baths or showers.

The staff were very nice and helpfull and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay over the three nights.

Room Tip: Consider a family room for more space and a bath rather than a shower.

Very nice common areas with comfy couches and cozy fireplace. Nice sauna and steam room, but I missed a jacuzzi. Rooms are nice, but extremely basic and stripped of any "extras".
