We went as a group of 6 last night. This was our second visit in less than a year. But for the fact we live here and are spoilt for choice of restaurants, we would go more often.
We were welcomed with smiles and all kicked off with a Champagne starter to get us in the mood.
A good selection of food is available. I had the cold octopus, prawn and smoked salmon on a bed of rocket, followed by sirloin steak with onion dressing. The others varied from various fish and steak meals. That popular dessert, chocolate mousse was both light and rich.
We all finished with coffee and a glass of port (on the house)

The maitre d was extremely knowledgeable and helpful with choice of wine. His selection is extensive.

All in all, an excellent evening and about €50 per head.

Gracious service, fantastic food. This was a dining event, and I enjoyed every bite. The menu is elegant and varied, with an impressive wine selection.

Have been visiting Salema for many years, and Agua na Boca is easily the best place to eat in the village. Since it opened, have enjoyed many meals there (the octopus starter is delicious as others have said) throughout the year, with family and with friends.

It has a relaxed and intimate atmosphere, and top class service.
Booking is essential during high season, and recommended even in the quiet months. Traditional portuguese food, good choice on the menu (including some vegetarian options, which can be few and far between in Portugal), enjoyable side dishes.
All fish and seafood is fresh, and Paulo and his staff will cook it to your requirements (they are happy to fillet the fish for those who don't enjoy the challenge). A great selection of wines, and advice to match.

Always worth looking at the menu for the dishes which need to be ordered in advance to save disapointment on the day.

I could find nothing to fault.
The location is excellent. Attention to the small details made a huge difference. Staff were attentive and polite. The food, wine, desserts and port were all superb and the bill a pleasant apprise.
Highly recommended :)

This restaurant gets four stars for two things: 1) the bread and olive oil to start was delicious; and 2) my husband had the best octopus dish of his life, which he described as being so tender that it just melted in his mouth. However, the service was haughty and pretentious; it was expensive; and the vegetarian dish wasn't memorable or creative.

Also be aware that, the night we went, the restaurant was packed: but with tourists and ex-pats. There were no local Portuguese, as far as I could tell.
