“Perfect Pad for Sayulita Visit”

Just got back to Victoria today and we already miss Sayulita. Where is the warmth, colour, sounds... We rented the studio on the top floor and it was very comfortable and included everything we needed. Easy walk to the beach by crossing the main part of town. We would highly recommend renting either suite from Linda.

“Perfect Location - Would definitely go back.”

My sister and I just returned from Sayulita on Sunday night. The next day, we couldn't believe how much we missed the place. Casa Amuleto is just over the bridge into the village. The neighborhood is fairly quiet at night, besides the occasional dog barking (there are a lot of dogs in the village...) It's a great location because everything is literally around the corner. Took us maybe 20 mins to get to beaches like La Playa de los Muertos. If you're not into walking, there's a place where you can rent a golf cart to get around town. We had a few things that we'd really like to highlight:

1-We LOVED having a washer and dryer on the property. Saved us loads of trouble and we came back with clean laundry :)
2-The AC was a lifesaver. September is rainy season and it was fairly warm during the day, which means the humidity was crazy. We slept in the AC room so we could sleep comfortably at night.
3-Filtered water in the house saved us. We brought water bottles that we refilled at night and refrigerated for the next day. Best thing in the kitchen.
4-Rainy season equals night storms (only rained at night...thunder and lightning included). There was a bad storm in which the electricity flickered quite a bit. The next day, we didn't have hot water and didn't have it for the remainder of our stay. We contacted the manager but she never got back to us about it. The good thing is it was so hot during the day that the cool water was refreshing but washing dishes in cold water was not the best.
5-The cooking utensils were moldy except for the spatula... Don't know what happened there. We also had to buy paper towels and we brought our beach towels even though they were listed as being supplied.
6-There is no house phone so if you want to make local calls or get pizza delivery (Pizza Ron is THE BEST!) you'll have to either use your cell phone or don't get delivery. Fortunately the house is close to everything and a 3 mins walk never hurt anyone...
7-FOOD! We cooked breakfast everyday except the last day. We got our eggs and bacon from the big tienda across from El Espresso Cafe. El Espresso is soo good and we wish we had eaten breakfast there more than once. Prices for entrees range between 35MXN-85MXN and they do accept USD. The waffles and french toast were amazing and the coffee drinks give Starbucks a run for their money. We ate out for dinner and snacked during the day as we were hiking and moving about. Sayulita Tacos... DELICIOUS. The quesadillas with mole are just divine. For 70MXN, you get a huge quesadilla with beans, rice, salsa and guacamole. For dessert, there is this little churro street stand that shows up by the bridge at sundown. A churro = 7MXN. Totally worth it. We also had some of the best homemade ice cream at Wa Kiki. The vanilla and chocolate combo is basic but the flavors are divine. We had a day where we didn't want Mexican food at all and this is where Pizza Ron comes in. For 120MXN, we had a large, 3-topping pizza. SO good. We also made spaghetti. There's a store called Tranco Carneceria. It sells mostly meat, hence the name, but they also have staples that you would find in the states like noodles and pasta sauce and cheeses.
8-The TV is REALLY small and the cable was out so we didn't watch it. We did, however, have wifi and ended up watching Netflix every night.
9-There were tiny ants in the kitchen and the occasional lizard showed up. No, there weren't huge, but a lizard is a lizard... We just made sure to clean up after ourselves after we ate some they wouldn't congregate.

We honestly LOVED staying there and it was super easy to book and pay for. We loved walking around and greeting people and eating ice cream. We just loved that little gem of a village. We will be back!

“Casa Amuleto was all we expected and MORE!!!!”

Casa Amuleto was the perfect vacation home for our 3 week stay. Linda was excellent to work with in booking her property, answering questions and providing information about the area and her favorite spots!! The Casa easily accomodated my husband and I as well as another couple who came at various parts of our stay to enjoy Sayulita and the Casa. The home is so spacious that privacy was never a concern such was the layout of the home and there was plenty of space and amenities to sit outside, cook a meal and enjoy cocktails on the large deck. The house is well-equipped with all that you need too.The property is located in the PERFECT part of Sayulita! A nice residential street that is within easy walking distance to stores and restaurants with no large hills to climb. The beach is simply 5-8 minutes away and at night you can hear the ocean thru the windows- you are that close!! The only negative I have to say is that there was some difficulty in being met at the property to receive the keys from the location manager when we arrived.

“Perfect Studio Rental”
Reviewed 3 December 2012 for a stay in October 2012

We stayed in the upstairs studio rental for 2 weeks and absolutely loved it. It was so cute and had everything we needed and more. The patio off the kitchen was great to relax in the evening and early morning. It had nice table and chairs with ceiling fax and two laid back loungers for relaxing. The kitchen had everything you could possibly dream of. Locked gated area outside made you feel safe and secure. Plenty of books and movies if you wanted to stay in a night. So close to everything....a couple of steps down the road and you were at the main street with a laundromat, fresh fruit markets, fresh fish markets and tons of places to eat. Two blocks down to the plaza where all the excitement was every night, and two more blocks over to the main beach. Carlos and Paula who help oversee the property were wonderful. Carlos helped us on several occasions (we lost our keys on the beach and he had to come let us in one night - thankfully we found them). Could not ask for a nicer place to stay. We can't wait to come back and hopefully it will be for a longer stay. Thank you so much Linda for providing us with a such a great getaway at a reasonable price. The only advice I would give someone is make sure you get directions from Linda....we had a terrible time finding it...its actually only a few blocks from the bus stop but no one could tell us where it was, even the taxi cab drivers, and we were starting to get a little worried.

“Gorgeous home in perfect location”

I stayed at Casa Amuleto for 18 nights in Feb 2012 with my husband and 2 young boys. We felt immediately at home. The casa is lovingly decorated in Mexican style, with all the comforts of home. Although we were steps from the lively main street in Sayulita, we heard only the tropical bird song, neighbourhood children playing and the thrum of the ocean in the background. Linda, the owner was staying in the suite above while we were there and she was incredibly welcoming and helpful. I can't wait to return!
