“Perfect Stay!”
Reviewed 18 February 2016 for a stay in January 2016

First off, I have to say - Linda is great! She was very very helpful and had great suggestions of where to eat, shop etc. It was a pleasure for us that she was there when we arrived. She answered every one of my emails prior to our stay (which I appreciated very much). The location of this property is PERFECT! Close to the beach, close to everything, but you feel like its totally private when you are there. We spent a ton of time on the big deck and the home was beautiful and had everything we needed. Both bedrooms were large, airy and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again!

“Like staying at a friend's home”
Reviewed 4 February 2016 for a stay in January 2016

Just spent a wonderful week at Casa Amuleto; it felt like someone's home, not a rental. Lovely art, comfortable furniture, good lighting, books, games; comfortable beds and nice linens. Food choices in town were so reasonable that we really did not use the kitchen, though it is fully stocked. The terrace was a delightful, quiet spot to read or just enjoy the sun. Marvelous location on a small cobblestone street, steps from the main street of shops and restaurants; a two minute walk to the beach.

“I loved my week at Casa Amuleto and would recommend it to anyone staying in Sayulita.”
Reviewed 30 January 2016 for a stay in January 2016

It was my first trip to Mexico and not only was Sayulita a charming and friendly town, but Casa Amuleto was a perfect place to stay. It is a very comfortable home with a warm attractive Mexican decor, so I felt like I was staying in someone's lovely home. The location is convenient - one minute from the village and about five minutes from the beach. The bedrooms are large and comfortable, and the kitchen is well set up for cooking. We cooked in some of the time, and also took advantage of the nearby inexpensive excellent restaurants (shrimp tostadas, Italian pasta, Chocobanana, etc.). I would definitely stay here again and would also recommend it to my friends and family.

“Bonita Sayulita”
Reviewed 19 May 2015 for a stay in May 2015

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa Amuleto in lovely Sayulita. The house was just as pictured. We didn't use the kitchen much as there was lots of inexpensive and tasty food in the town. The close-in location made it easy to go back and forth from the beach or restaurants to our casa. We were lucky to be there during the International Stand-up Paddle Board Competition. There were a couple of days we had wished we had a pool for a cool dip at the casa, but the patio was a lovely spot to relax and the one bedroom with AC was welcomed. We did walk to San Pancho one day, but the directions given in the house info weren't vey helpful. We ended up taking a long and beautiful walk through the jungle and coming out at a private resort. We eventually made it to the lovely little pueblo of San Pancho. We also had a lot of fun on Alley Cat's cruise to the Marieta Islands. Good place at a good value! Thanks, Linda, for all of your communications.

“Great Stay”
Reviewed 29 March 2015 for a stay in March 2015

This is the perfect location 2 houses up a side street from all the action without the noise. The only things that weren't perfect is the coffee maker needs to be replaced and it gets a little warm in the studio. Other than that mt entire trip was fantastic.

“Budget vacation among the best on all levels!”

As an airline employee, I often try to squeeze in a warm, beach getaway just when the Chicago weather is at it's worst! We heard about the charming surfing village of Sayulita, just a cheap peso bus ride north of the airport and stumbled across Casa Amuleto, to our supreme delight. Linda, the owner from Canada, and Patricia, her knowledgeable local admin insured this year's trip was flawless. We especially loved the very short, easy walk to the beach where we rented chairs and an umbrella each day and perched restfully watching surfers, reading books, and strolling along the fantastic beach.
The accommodations were exactly as stated, just over the bridge entering Sayulita on a tiny side street, almost an alley, right next to the golf cart rental agency. On the main corner we found everything we needed to complete our inexpensive week's long stay; a fruit and vegetable stand, meat store, wine shoppe, and dozens of others. Each morning my husband would rise early, thanks to the local roosters, and fetch breakfast empanadas, burritos, and fresh blended juice drinks. Later we would head to the town square and enjoy the BEST cappuccino every at El Expresso Cafe. The rest of the day was spent wandering in and out of art shops, enjoying the beach, and chatting with the friendly locals.
We rented the top level of Casa Amuleto, the efficiency, and it was perfect for the two of us. The bed was firm and comfortable and the sheets clean, fresh, and colorful. There were plenty of big, fluffy towels and the water pressure in the shower was strong, hot, and plentiful.
Linda has a delightful eye for decorating and the marvelous locally found wall art added to the charm of this perfectly located gem. There was seating inside provided by a couch, which was comfortable enough to sleep on, two chairs, and a coffee table along with plenty of storage in various nooks, crannies, and closet. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could need to entertain or prepare any sort of fresh meals. We sat on the patio each day with our breakfast goodies and delighted in the sounds of the local children playing, the birds serenading us, and the clickety clack of the traffic on the stone streets. Even the patio was beautifully curtained off to provide privacy, but plenty of sunlight and breeze. Again, her eye for color was a joy in the whimsically hung glass hearts and other artistic touches.
The access to the apartment is easy for those with the ability to walk and ascend stairs and the winding staircase is well lit with thoughtful on/off light switches for those late night arrivals. We felt at home and safe at all times in our hideaway. The front gate remains locked and the first floor of the building offers a laundry for great convenience.
There were guests staying in the 2nd floor, 2 bedroom place, but we never heard and barely saw them throughout our visit.
Overall, I will recommend this exact rental to friends and customers whom I encounter looking for a great getaway from the big city hubbub of Puerto Vallarta. Please feel free to contact me if you have any additional questions!

“Pretty, comfortable, quiet”
Reviewed 9 January 2015 for a stay in January 2015

Although the town of Sayulita is thronged with people between mid December and New Years, this place is a half block away from the main thoroughfare, and surprisingly quiet. It is comfortable and attractively decorated. A block away from restaurants, stores, groceries, and a few short blocks to the beach. Linda, the owner, is very helpful and accommodating.
