“Thank you Mexitreks for introducing me to the Jungle!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 November 2013

When you come to Sayulita, you can see the whole pueblo surrounded by the ocean, hills and the jungle. The green cover over the hills looks so fascinating and attractive, that when you are offered an opportunity to go for a hike underneath those high tree tops, you just can't say no.

El Camino de Jaguar hike is an amazing experience of being in the nature and see what the jungle really holds inside. I loved to see the funny furry caterpillars hanging around on the plants, butterflies which were flying around the beautiful flowers and the massive old trees which made you feel so small when standing next to them. Also the Mexitreks' guide (Steve) is not only easy going and fun lad to hung around with, but also very knowledgeable about the local nature and its wildlife.

While you are in Sayulita, I highly recommend to have a morning off from the beach and get yourself introduced to the jungle side of the town. You will not regret it!

“Awesome Hike!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 November 2013

I went on the El Camino de Jaguar hike with Mexitreks and it was such an amazing experience. Steve (our guide) was super knowledgeable about the different plant and wild life in the area and told us about the historical significance of the trail. The hike itself was spectacular - the jungle is beyond beautiful. There are also two waterfalls that are such a nice treat after walking through the amazing jungle. I would definitely recommend this hike to anyone visiting Sayulita.

“Amazing Jungle Hike”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 November 2013

We went on la Ruta de Jaguar hike with our guide Steve recently and it was a wonderful experience. Walking thru the jungle is like immersing yourself in another world, a world of lush tropical plants, birds and streams running nearby. There are two incredible waterfalls en route. This hike is fairly easy, only one short climb, the rest of the path is clear and mostly level. Steve is very knowledgeable about the flora and fauna and enhances the hike with interesting facts. Maravailloso!
