We found Mi Casa Steak House after eating at Manzanilla Bay Inn and Roberto's. We returned 3 times afterwards! The service was warm and friendly and the food was excellent. We even got breakfast one night! IF YOU ARE IN A HURRY THIS ISN'T THE PLACE TO EAT AS THEY GIVE YOU TIME TO VISIT, ENJOY THE ATMOSHERE AND RELAX WHILE YOU ARE EATING. This is truly a jewel in this sleepy town! Stop in and visit with Adam and Carlos! You will be glad you did!

We just spent 8 nights at Hotel Troncones with three kids under age 9. The hotel is clean, secure, and well-maintained with a friendly and helpful staff. Dave, the on-site manager, is great. The grounds are attractive and they are laid out such that it is easy to keep track of kids, with direct access to the pool, beach and on-premises restaurant. We ate alot of our meals at the on-site restaurant, which is separately-run from the hotel by a Mexican family. The restuarant service was exceptionally good and the kitchen and dining area are clean and sanitary (not sure what happened to one of the previous posters, but we had consistently good service and no issues with cleanliness at the restuarant). The resturant food was ok and more expensive than we expected, but it is no more expensive or of any different quality than any of the restuarants we visited in Troncones. The kitchen and waitstaff were also great about letting us order off-menu and made a point of getting to know our kids and helping keep an eye on them. We booked the family suite, which is a good set up with kids - it has a full kitchen and you can buy enough basics (bread, milk, fruit, rice, beans, cheese, tortillas) in town to make some meals yourself, which cuts down on the food tab and time spent at restaurants. We'll definitely visit again.

I just got back from a business conference held in Ixtapa, my colleagues and I stayed at Mi Casa Su Casa and I have to say that I was very pleased. The staff was very welcoming, the food was delicious, and the surf was incredible. I already scheduled my family vacation there. I am a customer for life, and I will recommend friends and family to stay there anytime. Thank you again for your great services.

My family and I were staying down the road from this place and it had been recommended to us by a local as a good place to eat. We ended up eating three meals there, it was so good! I personally tried the steak, enchiladas suiza, chilequiles with eggs, fish tacos, and chips and salsa and guacamole- all were really great. They have a nice patio area for eating and it's a great place to watch the sunset. I suppose it was a little expensive for Mexico, but it wasn't anything out of the ordinary for the area, from what I saw. Everywhere you went, you could expect to pay between $9-$25 for a meal. Our waiter the last night we were there, Carlos, was particularly friendly and told us how he really valued his customers because the whole area wasn't doing well because of the Swine Flu outbreak. As such, he was very attentive and gave us great food recommendations.

This was my favorite place to eat in Troncones and I definitely recommend it!

After tracking down a waiter some 45 minutes after arriving, we waited over 2 hours to get a measly meal on a slow night. Like most other Troncones establishments, this was way over-priced to boot.

We just stayed at Mi casa su casa for 12 nights. our first time to Troncones and found the place we picked to be very enjoyable, clean, bug-free and a nice breeze which made the temperature perfect! The staff was very friendly! usually they understood our broken attempt at spanish, but if not we always had Dave who was so helpful and on top of every need we could possibly have. We always had warm water for showers. we have a 4 year old and a 6 year old they loved the pool and across the street the owner of mi casa su casa had put in a skate boarding park and swingset area, which they loved! There is also a work out room for guest. The place is also centrally located near the little town and lots of restuarants. It is a surfing spot, but the break was far enough out that there was plenty of water for the kids to play in safely.

Okay, we just got back from Mi Casa Su Casa in Troncones and here's the real deal. We abolutely loved this hotel and this area of Mexico. If you are looking for the tourist scene and fancy high-rise hotels with lots of snobby turistas, Troncones is not for you. If you are looking for total relaxation, friendly people, and perfect uncrowded beaches, then read on. We traveled to this hotel with two young children and were not disappointed. They have a wonderful pool, a nice clean open air restaurant right on the beach, and friendly attentive staff. I have to give the highest Kudos to Gringo Dave who went above and beyond to make sure that we were always taken care of, and became a great friend to our family in the process. Alfredo took immaculate care of the grounds and pool. All the waiters and cashiers at the restaurant were soooo friendly especially to our children who just loved all of them. We felt a total family vibe while we were there. We will definitely be going back to this hotel again and I would highly recommend it to families.
