We stayed here for four nights. The hotel was immaculate and perfect ambiance. We visited and ate at the Hilton and Hotel Paracas to compare. The differences were that the The La Hacienda Bahia had a better ocean view, better luxury value, and less tourists. If you are looking for the most romantic and best luxury value, than this is the hotel. SInce we ate at the other luxury hotels, I believe that we could have saved the time and ate all of our meals at La Hacienda. There was excellent service provided by all the staff, but especially Jose and Luiz.
I think that you need to keep your expectations in check but don't think that there wasnt anything they couldnt provide if we had asked. Some minor points that would have made it better were; there were no clocks in the rooms, no irons, few television channels, and a robe would have been nice. I think one of the points I would stress is that there was no list in the room indicating what services the Hotel offered, which was frustrating. We went to the Spa and asked for a list of services, and were told they did not have a list. I think it was more of our expectations and not asking for what we wanted. The minor points should not deter you from staying here. The Hilton and Hotel Paracas were flooded with kids and tourists. Our hotel was more intimate and Peruvian.
The location of the hotel is a plus, considering that you are a mile or so from the town of Paracas, which we could have skipped visiting without any regrets. We hired a local driver who provided us travel all week to the Reserve and Wineries and when he wasnt available, the hotel arranged a taxi without any problems. We will be back soon!
