La Hacienda Bahia Paracas
Ranked #2 of 11 Hotels in Paracas
Reviewed 21 February 2010

We stayed here for four nights. The hotel was immaculate and perfect ambiance. We visited and ate at the Hilton and Hotel Paracas to compare. The differences were that the The La Hacienda Bahia had a better ocean view, better luxury value, and less tourists. If you are looking for the most romantic and best luxury value, than this is the hotel. SInce we ate at the other luxury hotels, I believe that we could have saved the time and ate all of our meals at La Hacienda. There was excellent service provided by all the staff, but especially Jose and Luiz.

I think that you need to keep your expectations in check but don't think that there wasnt anything they couldnt provide if we had asked. Some minor points that would have made it better were; there were no clocks in the rooms, no irons, few television channels, and a robe would have been nice. I think one of the points I would stress is that there was no list in the room indicating what services the Hotel offered, which was frustrating. We went to the Spa and asked for a list of services, and were told they did not have a list. I think it was more of our expectations and not asking for what we wanted. The minor points should not deter you from staying here. The Hilton and Hotel Paracas were flooded with kids and tourists. Our hotel was more intimate and Peruvian.
The location of the hotel is a plus, considering that you are a mile or so from the town of Paracas, which we could have skipped visiting without any regrets. We hired a local driver who provided us travel all week to the Reserve and Wineries and when he wasnt available, the hotel arranged a taxi without any problems. We will be back soon!

Simply wonderful. I have to write at least 50 words, but there is nothing more to add
actually.
The Ballestas Islands are beautiful and so is this hotel. We were there early so could
enjoy the pool all afternoon and the jacuzzi at night. The tours to the Islands leave every morning at 08.00.

The best part about our experience at this wonderful hotel was the fact that we didn't expect such a hidden jem in the region recently devastated by an earthquake. The hotel is brand new and shines with nicely decorated rooms in rustic theme and breathtaking views of the ocean. A giant pool stretches throughout the whole property and borders with the ocean side where you can see pelicans and various see birds in the morning. The design is tasteful and simple at the same time. We had a blast and would say this hotel is a must for everyone traveling in Paracas region.

to end a 3 week trip throughout peru we booked our final weekend stay at this resort to relax before heading home. From what i understand, this brand new hotel had only opened 3 months prior to our stay, and we were their first Canadian visitors :)

I cannot say enough good things about this place. The rooms were beautiful, large with a king bed, nice bathroom with separate toilet/shower and a large LCD flatscreen TV. There was a nice large balcony equipped with a sofa, table & chairs that overlooked the pool & ocean.

The hotel has a large pool, a poolside bar, 1 main restaurant, an indoor bar and a smaller cafe styled restaurant. They also offer room service... which we took advantage of... about 5 times daily :) The food was amazingly good, lots of seafood, and a good buffet breakfast that was included in our stay. We couldn't believe how cheap everything was compared to our dollar. so cheap and so good! we loved peru :)

and... the staff were AMAZING! sooo nice, friendly, and helpful. The front desk staff and some restaurant staff spoke very good english, and were very excited to use it :) and the room service staff were awesome as well.

We were here in Paracas to relax, so the only day trip we did was to the ballastas islands, using the hotel's service aboard a luxery catamaran. It was a nice relaxing trip, however, i would recommend if you want to get more up close and personal to the islands/wildlife to book aboard a smaller boat (there are tons of companies offering this trip).

i'm terrible at writing these things, and being the first review of this hotel i hope it is enough to convince you that this is the place to stay... i travel like crazy, and this was definitely one of my best experiences at a hotel. it was so nice, and the staff were so awesome :)

oh, and if u do go... bring a few canadian flag pins, a few of the staff collect them and we didn't have any :) and if you are a family travelling with kids, book the larger poolside first floor rooms... the pool goes right up to the private deck :) the kids were lovin it :)
