“Likely to disappoint”
Reviewed 16 April 2013 via mobile

Great location, you could walk into town quite easily.
The place is VERY run down. The camp kitchen is an open shed with a few appliances that you wouldn't really want to use.
The games room is old and smells mouldy. Don't even consider the pool, it's almost 1cm thick in dust and mould.
I've been told there are new owners and it may improve but they have a hell of a lot of work on their hands.
Although I didn't go into the ensure they look like cement time capsules that would eat you alive.
After some amazing stays in Tassie this sure left a sour taste (but only for the night)...

We arrived after a long day of driving to check in to a non powered site for 2 nights we had read on the internet that there was a pool and game room facilities, a playground and a camp kitchen and as we had our kids with us sounded like a great place to stay.We called to see if there were any spots available and were told yes. We drove 60km to get there our choice. We got charged $25 a night for our non powered site. There was no hot water due to them running out of gas and it wasn't going to be filled till the next day which wasn't until after 10. The pool was closed also and looked like ti had been for a while, both things we were not informed of when we called. The camp kitchen which was constantly crowed as it was tiny and open to the elements, The games room was full of leaves and rubish it was unclean and not somewhere I was prepared to let my children play. The playground wasn't too bad. I will not be using this accomodation again nor will I recommend it to anyone.

We just stayed here at the end of our tassie holiday in a campervan, It is a little sad that this place seems to only be there for the permanent residents we had a powered site with ensuite $35 , ensuite was clean but had a strange smell. The reception isn't very inviting drinks fridge and ice cream freezer both emptyThe campers kitchen needed a good clean , fridges were rusty and unlcean, there is a swimming pool but it is locked and doesnt look like it has been used and cleaned for a while. my wife said there was a games room - locked as well,
kids playground was a couple of swings and couple of other bits. It is a 10 min walk to richmond which is a lovely old town and in a quiet setting but in hindsight would have paid the extra and gone to barilla caravan park which is 20 or so minutes down the road. It just seems a shame that it looks so rundown.

We stayed at this park in May 2011 for three nights on a powered site with ensuite facilities. When we booked the site we were told there was a camp kitchen and playground. We were disappointed to find the camp kitchen was run down and hadnt been cleaned for ages. We actually had to clean the rat poo off the stove and table before we could use the facilities. Indoor pool was advertised, but was not operational while we were there. The site we had was treed and nicely grassed. The ensuite was fairly modern, but also needed a good clean. I had to buy my own toilet paper as the owners didnt seem to want to replace or replenish supplies.

Locatoin wise it is quite good. Off the main road, so the raod noise is minimal, but within waking distance to the town.
