“Energetic Area”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 May 2014

We came here for an early dinner had drinks one place and dinner at another. Lots going on here but it is sad that the chains have moved in. We were talking to our server and she said it wasn't like that before but its happening more and more. There is a fabulous guide to the place so you can pick local establishments. They even tell you if they are unique tot he area. Its probably popular for the nightlife. It appeared the store close rather early except I think on Thursday nights.

“Shopping streets”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 April 2014

The old fashioned way to shop. Walk around on the streets, looking into the windows, stopping occasionally. There are plenty of shops, restaurants and bars to pick from.

“Kansas City's Gem”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 April 2014

Not only is the Country Club Plaza our one unique gems here in the Heartland but it's also the first true shopping center developed for the explosion of our automobile age. This was circa 1930.
Not to be confused with shopping malls, the architecture of the "Plaza" is Spanish influenced, with Seville, Spain, being our Sister City. The Plaza area is home to some of Kansas City's finest upscale shopping and dining and recognizable by the J.C. Nichols Fountain that is routinely feature by Network TV crews when broadcasting from Kansas City.

“Nothing Special”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 April 2014

I wouldn't waste my time going to the Country Club Plaza. There isn't anything special about it, the restaurants are overpriced and all the stores are chains that close at 7 PM (as a KC resident this is FRUSTRATING).

Why bother coming here for stores that are found in your typical mall? Product selection is geared for the taste of the local population, too, so expect expected and conservative.

Oh, and good luck with parking.

“Gorgeous historic outdoor shopping area with Moorish tile and Spanish architecture. Beautiful fountains”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 April 2014 via mobile

This is definitely a scenic area filled with high end shops and restaurants. Beautiful fountains draw crowds for photo opportunities. Always a number of people strolling. Great horse drawn carriage rides. Flower lined streets in the spring and summer. Buildings lined with colorful lights come on Thanksgiving night through the middle of January. I love this area.
