“Intereresting Architecture”
Reviewed 15 August 2014

Country Club Plaza is a shopping area of Kansas City that boasts an array of stores and boutiques, many good restaurants, hotels, parks, beautiful buildings and fountains. It is located in a safe and easily walkable area of the city. Parking is readily available on the street or in garages. The architecture is reminiscent of Seville, Spain and is really worth examining. In the evening, you may find musicians on the street corners or groups encouraging you to dance to their music. It can get quite lively.
The history of the Plaza is an interesting one with J.C. Nichols at the helm of its development.

“High-end shops and cool architechture”
Reviewed 14 August 2014

We visited the Plaza just briefly on our visit to KC. High-end shopping is not really my bag (pun intended!) but this would probably be heaven for people who are into that.
The Spanish-style architecture is beautiful, as are the fountains sprinkled around the area. This is at least 4-5 city blocks of shopping and dining attractions - it is not small by any means.
Some of the high-end shopping and dining here includes Tiffany's, Restoration Hardware, Rolex, Fogo de Chao, The North Face, Cheesecake Factory, PF Chang's, H&M, McCormick and Schmidt's, Anthropologie, Burberry, and Michael Kors, just to name a few.
It is an outdoor shopping area, so prepare for weather!

“Nice clean shopping center.”
Reviewed 13 August 2014

Lots of stores. Lots of restaurants. For some reason lots of fountains. Slightly upscale but with enough bars and such to make for a wider range of folks. Worth it if your in the area and have a couple of hours to kill. Has a more natural feel than most outdoor malls.

“Attractive, open plaza and good shops”
Reviewed 12 August 2014

This is a great place. We really enjoyed the open layout, the many stores, the architecture and the Spanish vibe. The stores are what one sees everywhere in the USA so nothing special to say about them.

“Good visit, not so clean women's restroom”
Reviewed 10 August 2014

We were there on Saturday August 2nd. Our visit went well, except the restroom I used had toilet paper all over the floor (this could have happened in 2 seconds by some ornery child or teen). But, the sinks had grime all around the edge of the faucets.... YUCH! Not a big deal, really, but someone was not doing their cleaning job, AND someone else was not making sure the place was clean. Hey, this IS the Country Club Plaza, B&N- you can do better!
