“quiet in the city”
Reviewed 27 July 2014

I recently visited after being away for several years. The quietness of a city park was amazing. Picnics, football and frisbee games. Pets and children everywhere. Water park, rose garden, playground and pond. A 2 mile walking path that shows the historic war in Westport!

“Beautiful and Relaxing”
Reviewed 23 July 2014

Loose Park is a very pretty large park. The rolling hills, large trees, rose garden, lake, tennis courts, play ground, and walking/running path around the park all make this a great park. Lots of people come here daily to walk, run, or walk their dog. Plenty of open space to sun bathe, play games, picnic, relax, read, meet others, etc.

“Most scenic park in Kansas City!”
Reviewed 9 July 2014

As a previous Kansas City resident in the Westport area, I cannot possibly praise this park enough. In the summertime, the rolling hills in the park are a perfect place to relax, read a good book, play an instrument, or just spend time with family and friends. The running/walking trails are also amazing - I love the material they have them paved with, it makes running or walking there just that much nicer. And there are numerous other attractions still within this park - tennis courts (though they are very popular and often full), children's playground areas, and the most beautiful rose garden in Kansas City. For those who love spending time outdoors, this is a must-see in this area!

“Central Park of Kansas City”
Reviewed 9 July 2014

I have been to a few parks across east coast to west coast. Loose Park simply seems Central Park of Kansas City to me. It's beautifully green and serene. There are plenty of spaces to play games, jog, walk out your dogs; even just to seat there and stare at the green. The fountains and the small bridges are beautiful. You could just seat on the nearby bench with your friend or girlfriend and talk for hours. On top of it, the Rose Garden is a great addition too. Check out this place if you want to relax for a bit and enjoy the serenity of the green mother earth.

“A beautiful treasure”
Reviewed 6 July 2014

Such a beautiful and relaxing park to walk through. From the rose garden, fountains, ponds with ducks and bridges it was a wonderful and relaxing way to get away from the city and enjoy the outdoors. Take the time to stroll through this serene park! Stop and smell the roses!
