“AN AMAZING 'GEM' FOR KANSAS CITY”
Reviewed 13 May 2014

An enormous museum of major art works. And it is free, except for the special exhibit about Saudi Arabia. It always amazes me of the wealth of museums In America that have European major works in them!!! The museum itself is a work of art. I spent four hours here and wanted more time. Don't forget to tour the sculpture gardens also.

“Sculptures Oh My”

Great sprawling lawn sculptures adorning to the very edges, on a sunny day you may never make it inside.

“A beautiful museum”
Reviewed 12 May 2014

It is a world class art museum with classic art from all periods and styles.
We had a docent-led tour and a time limit (I was with a tour). We went from room to room while she explained one example in each room. I would preferred to be left on my own to wander around the rooms that interested me.

“Spend some time here”
Reviewed 11 May 2014

I spent time in the contemporary art section of this museum. There were a few amazing pieces I could have stayed with all day.
Make sure you see the sculpture outside as well.
