This is an amazing museum! The amazing miniatures and intricacies of these dollhouse items are so impressive. I have been there twice and always see somethign new. For kids, adults who appreciate fine handiwork and antiques, and anyone, it is a must see collection!

Tucked away off the main drag near Univ. of Missouri Kansas City campus is this wonderful museum dedicated to toys which can't help but make a baby boomers eyes gleam. From Howdy Doody puppets that they had when they were a kid to Star Wars figurines which were their own kids toys, this museum has it all. The miniatures are astounding. They are true works of art handcrafted by masters. Don't miss this. It's like icing on the cake after visiting all the "usual" places.

This is a very well put together museum tracing the history of toys in America and imported toys; the displays are clean and well put-together, and they have rotating displays to keep you coming back. the doll houses are incredible., If you have no prior interest in this subject, visit anyway and be converted, it's that well done.

Took my mother (75) and wife for morning visit about 2.5 hours was good.

Start by speaking with knowledgeable volunteer. She really helped put some toys into perspective by pointing out some of the materials used. We would not have realized as signs were not present. more signage could be an improvement.

Two floors, but there is an elevator if needed. Good flow, so you will not miss areas while walking.

Good access to very well kept restrooms.

Small gift shop with unique toys, games and souvenirs.

Cost reasonable.
