Well laid out with a combination of specific individuals and timeline of the history. Learned a great deal more about so many more individual players that achieved MLB status.

“A Great Experience!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 July 2014

A must see Museum. I went to KC specifically to visit this museum. I knew I would see artifacts from the Negro Baseball Leagues, but what I enjoyed most was the 10 movie they showed to visitors about the Leagues. A great learning experience.

“A Fun Stop; Not for little little kids”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 July 2014

The Negro Leagues Baseball Museum has been on my KC Bucket List since I first made it, so I was ecstatic to get the chance to check this place out during a Yelp event for free!

The museum was fantastic. I'm not a big baseball person, but I still got a lot out of it. I loved the history behind a culture I know very little about and it was easy to get into because this museum was very well put together. The space isn't very big, but it is well designed and fits a lot of information, tons of photos, jerseys and other memorabilia into the real estate it does have.

However, I'm not so sure if kids would like this place. It was a little word heavy with not a lot of hands-on stuff. Kids who can read and like baseball will probably enjoy it, but smaller kids might get bored.. until you get to the diamond and they can run the bases :) The event space was also very neat. Gathering on the baseball diamond was cool and for a smaller get-together this would be a great place to rent out!
