Better than I ever imagined! I loved it more than New Orleans! Such a gem! Get there early & stay for the evening. The live entertainment is right on point. The band & singers are beyond terrific! Wishing I was there right now!

The Blue Room should be on your list of things to see in Kansas City. If you see a performance here, you will feel like you have gone back in time when jazz came alive. They always have excellent talent and you will definitely be entertained! The admittance fee for a performance is usually $10 which is a bargain for what you will see and hear. You should also see the American Jazz Museum and Negro League Baseball Hall of Fame right next door.

I thoroughly enjoyed the jazz quintet at Blue Room played by Diverse Jazz. The vibe was wonderful all around.

Very intimate setting, good drinks and great music. The cover fee was more than reasonable. We had a great evening. The music was terrific, and the staff was extremely hospitable. If you're a jazz buff, don't miss this historic place.

If you like jazz this is an excellent and intimate club in the historic Kansas City jazz district (Adjacent to 12th and vine). Small, friendly with top quality jazz. There is a different act each night and a Monday night jam session. Occasional latin jazz. Weekend covers are usually 10$. It is less during the week, and it is adjacent to the American Jazz museum, however hours do not overlap. They do not serve food, (drinks only) but there are several good inexpensive restaurants across the street or within a block or two. Sound system is good and it is possible to sit right in front of the musicians, or further away if you do not want to be too close.
