Owner description: Dedicated to the memory of J.C. Nichols, the developer of Kansas City's Country Club Plaza, this is one of the most treasured water fountains in town.

Come for a weekend and stay a Week !!! This majestic fountain is the centrepiece for one of the first shopping centres to ever be built.. The Country Club Plaza is like a mini Beverly Hills with swanky top name shops, innovative restaurants with outdoor cafes and all in the architecture of Seville, Spain. This area now named "The Paris of the Plains" is attributed to the man with ideas and the fountain's namesake, J. C. Nichols.. Several top rated hotels overlook the grandeur of the area. On Thanksgiving night the Christmas lights are turned on and each building is outlined in lights making for a spectacular shopping experience.. Why not take a horse drawn carriage ride through the Plaza to view this beautiful fountain when lit at night to top off your Kansas City visit... !!!

Lovely fountain. Really worth the time to find it and stop to visit a while. Also close to the Country Club Plaza area.

This is my favorite fountain on the Country Club Plaza. The architecture is grand and the sound of the water can be exhilarating or soothing . .whatever you need at the moment!

Not only is there a beautiful park with walking paths around it, but this wonderful fountain is an amazing sculptural work as well. It rewards long looking, with its symbolic figures representing four major rivers of the world. I have sat in its spray and listened to the music of its water many times. My sister and I called it "the Horse Fountain" when we were small, and even today when I'm hurrying by in a car, I look at it and smile because of the flood of fond memories it brings.
