The price seems high at first, but it's worth it. After you subtract the price of parking and discounted tickets the accommodations are very comparable to staying away from the park. Plus your only walking distance from the entrances. The cabin has ample room for sleeping. It is a little cramped when all are up and about. The loft is a bit warmer than the rest of the cabin, there is only a small duct that goes to the top. Recommend if your sleeping in the loft to bring a pad, there is not much padding under the carpeting up top. The cabin we stayed in had a couple of maintenance issues that had been over looked by the staff but other than that it is just a normal room to stay in very close to the parks. That really makes the small stuff ok when you compare the convenience vs. the inconvenience. Would recommend staying there to anyone I talk with and will be back again.

This was our 2nd stay here. Great location to worlds of fun. 5 minute walk to park or a quick drive to oceans of fun entrance. Campground is always very clean. Lifeguard on duty during operating hours of pool and hot tub. Little convenience store that sells beer, pop, water, ice, treats, etc. my only two complaints are that the hot tub was down for the week we were there and the wifi provided is worthless. If you are planning on working at all during your stay, make sure you have another means for Internet.

We camp a great deal and when we found out there were RV spots just outside of Worlds/Oceans of fun, we decided to head up for a long weekend with the kids and dogs. We'd not stayed here prior, and travel with our 30' 5th wheel, 3 kids, 2 dogs, and the 2 of us. We requested a back in spot near the pool and showers as we noticed on the map that those spots had a large grass area behind them that would be good for our dogs. What we didn't know is that a major street with lots of large semi traffic at all hours of the day and night was backed right up to those spots. Even in the RV with the AC on I was awoken each day multiple times between 4-6am from the sound of loud engine/exhaust brakes being used by the semis on the street just about 40yds away. The sites on the other side, closer to the cabins may be more quite. Sitting outside with my wife, we had to shout back and forth in order to have a conversation as the traffic was so loud.

All that being said, we would go back, but would stay on the other side. Being able to hit Worlds of Fun first thing in the AM, ride all the big rides that will have long lines later, then walk back to the RV to eat lunch and head to Oceans of fun for the heat of the day, then go back to camp, clean up and go out to dinner, and still have time left to go back and shut the park down at midnight on a Saturday night is priceless to the kiddos! They had SO much fun at both parks both days we were there. We really felt like we were able to make the most of the time we were there, and get lots of bang for our buck with as many hours as we spent in the parks. We had actually come home about 9:30 or 10:00 Saturday night as we were exhausted. Then, sitting outside the camper watching and hearing people screaming over the first hill on the mamba inspired us to go back for another run ourselves! Nothing like the front car of the mamba at nearly midnight!

Room Tip: Bring your RV! :)

Due to summer school and work schedules, we had to take our summer vacation road trip from 05/16-05/20/2013. We originally reserved (and paid for) our cottage reservation through the WOF website in March and the resort had us on a payment plan of four monthly installments. This was convenient for us financially because we had our cottage along with two day park tickets paid for by the time we got there so the only thing we had to worry about was extra spending money & getting there.

We checked into our cottage by early afternoon and the staff at the check in desk were very polite and helpful. After getting in to our cottage, we were impressed at the size of the cottage. If you look at the outside of the cottage, it looks tiny but decent size for 5 people (four adults, one child) staying there. The grill outside the cottage is pretty small so if you want to, you can bring a small charcoal or gas grill with you if you are planning to cook more meat on there. Plan to bring stuff to clean the grill with. We already anticipated that since we always carry extra cleaning and grilling stuff with us on road trips so it came in handy when we cleaned it before we grilled.

The cleanliness of our cottage was pretty good. Everything looked cleaned down good and almost brand new with a "clean" smell to the cottage as if it just got a good spring cleaning. There were more than enough towels in the cabin and even a small handtowel for the little kitchen area. They do come into your cottage daily around late morning to replace the towels and empty the trash but don't expect them to make up your beds. The bed is pretty stiff but there were bedding for the bunk beds, the full size bed, and even bedding for the futon couch in the bathroom closet. The air conditioner in the cottage is set to automatic so if you are one of those families that like to keep the AC at full blast all day, keep in mind that it will turn off & on throughout the day so trying to manually adjust it will be hard without going to the front desk to do it. At night, we ended up opening the windows to let the cool night breeze into our room.

The kitchen area is pretty basic with no stove or oven. It has a microwave and small refrigerator. We brought a medium electric skillet to cook in and also had an extra cooler that helped store half of our refigerator foods and drinks. They had nice deck chairs on the deck and a decent table (seats up to 4) along with a few more chairs throughout the cottage. We didn't utilize the laundry facilities there but our "neighbor" next to us said they were pretty good when they went to do a couple of loads.

The location of the resort is within 10 miles of restaurants, shopping, gas stations so if you plan to eat out instead of cooking there, you won't have a hard time finding a place nearby.

The Worlds of Fun (WOF) entrance to the park is on the other side of the cottages so you will have to drive around the corner (barely 1/2 mile) to get to their parking lot. The Oceans of Fun (OOF) park entrance is right next to the cottages so it's more convenient to get to Oceans of Fun Park from the cottages.

Overrall, this was a good trip and stay there at the WOF resort village. We are definitely going to be doing this again next year.

We travel to Worlds of Fun/OOF at least once a year in the summer. Over the years we have stayed at several different hotels. Everywhere from Hilton and Marriott to American Inns and Days inn.
All we ok. A place to sleep, but all we also very inconvenient. For some odd reason I find even places right across the street a pain to get to.
A friend suggested we check out the "cabins" at WoF. Never before in 15 years of going down had I looked into these or even heard of them. After some research we booked for 3 nights over a September weekend.

There are two types I believe. We booked the cabin the had a separate bedroom and the loft. There are several of each type of these little cabins surrounding two little ponds and a campground area off to the side with the reception, pool and clubhouse in the middle of their "village"
It was beyond cute. Right next to the park. Had a little mini kitchen. Microwave, sink, fridge. A picnic table and charcoal grill right out the door. Queen size bed in the room. Two futons in the living room. Tv in both areas. Bathroom with shower and tub. Plus a loft that could easily sleep four kids in sleeping bags.
I loved the location, great pool. We packed a cooler and cooked out on the grill each night. Had fruit and donuts in the morning. Left the park for lunch and went back to the cabin and ate sandwiches. Didn't have to pay to park.
It saved us a ton of money doing things this way. Plus the cabins were right on par with some of the moderately priced motels right around there. I will return time after time.

Highly recommend :)
Happy travels

After staying one night in Cottage 9, our family is now dealing with a whole new world of not-so-fun consequences. We have bed bugs in our home that were carried in on suitcases and pillows. This was the only family vacation we could swing this year - we could have gone to Disneyland for a week for the cost of replacing our infested things and the exterminator. The timeline from door to bites was spot on for having brought home eggs and or a female that laid eggs in our stuff. Don't be fooled by the newness of the facility! Bed bugs are hiding in the cracks!

Got a treat and was taken to KC for a BB King concert. We stayed here because we wanted to make a weekend of it. Could not believe how spotlessly clean this place was. The pads for our camper was concrete with plush, green grass everywhere. Absolutely not a single spot of dirt anywhere. The pool was very cold but the spa was luscious! If you go there, take the time to enjoy the poolside whirlpool spa at night while you are overlooking the city landscape! That's right! It is located on top of a hill so you get a great view while relaxing. Overall, the place was really great and well worth the money, even though it was cheaply priced compared to other campgrounds we have been to.

Room Tip: Our only problem was not with the campground, but with the traffic outside the campground. It is lo...
