Spent one night and used Microtel's "park and fly" service prior to a flight out of Kansas City. Total price ended up around $90 for two adults.
Have never stayed in a smaller or dirtier hotel room. No where to store or open luggage and barely room to walk around the bed. The scuffed walls and smoked mirrors added to the cheap appearance.
One queen sized bed with a very lumpy mattress, a narrow window seat under drafty windows, small built in desk, and two nightstand shelves. The closet, desk, and shelves are made of plastic. The closet also doubles as a tv stand, which places the tv near the ceiling. Above bed fluorescent lighting and the layout really reminded me of a hospital room. Bathroom was small also and the non-slip surface in the tub was so scummy, it was dangerously slippery. The sink had leftover toothpaste and there was trash in the trash can. Every vending machine in the hotel was out of order.
We were shuttled to the airport promptly, but on return had to wait 45 minutes to be picked up. The parking spaces are unusually small and we found lots of dings and scratches on our vehicle when we returned. Even though they offer a park and fly service, there are signs everywhere that say they are not responsible for anything. Will use the long term KC parking next time and pay the $5 a day.

Will try to make this short. Have enjoyed many Microtels in the past. So I was shocked by this one. The second floor hallway literally smelled like emesis. (Nicest word I could think of. I'm not the only one who thought this, either.) They had avertised free parking but it was $4/day. Room was filthy. Hairs all over the bathroom floor and IN MY BED (on the comforter). "Deluxe continental breakfast" was anything but. Had typical continental fare..bagels, packaged muffins, cereal. Bed very uncomfortable. Wish I had stayed somewhere else. Won't return. Once there, I noticed that there were many other hotels in the area that were the same price. Doubt they were as disappointing.

This was the most disgusting hotel ever. Upon checking in, we discovered a dirty sock in our supposedly clean bed. Sheets were still on bed from last guests. Gross. The second floor had a horrible smell and we were told they were having a mold problem. We demanded another room and were relocated to the first floor. All was fine until I got into bed at 11:30 pm only to find hairs in my bed! Sheets looked as if they had been taken from a pile of dirty linens and put on my bed. We had other family members in three other rooms there and all had problems. One with dirty sheets put on the bed, one where the room smelled so bad they were gagging and one where they got out of the shower and the supposedly clean towels had makeup on them. Again it seemed as if linens were replaced from a pile of dirty, used ones. I would never stay there again. Also, no coffee in AM. and no ice in the ice machine. Numerous people were always at the front desk complaining.

This hotel has GREAT staff but the hotel itself could definately use some work.... walls in room had 100-200 scuff marks, tired carpet but then bathroom was spotless (go figure?). (DESPERATE for fresh paint... maybe enamel next time would be a good investment).

Bed only had one sheet but staff came immediately to resolve the problem and remade the bed.....

It made me a little uncomfortable - lack of attention to the overall look of the hotel made me a little worried about just how clean everything really is... It appears THRIFT is the object of the day...

Overall acceptable - at this price maybe fussiness isn't appropriate...

Breakfast was muffins, bagels, cereal, coffee, juice. Accomodating shuttle service.
