The downtown location is great within walking distance to Sprint Center, power and light district, and Kaufman fine arts center. The hotel staff friendly and helpful. The hotel very clean and safe and the room was very spacious, quiet, and clean.

Spent a Friday night here. What a great hotel! Very nice, comfortable room. The lounge was fun and lively. We ate dinner in the restaurant, which was delicious. The staff from the front desk to the lounge and restaurant were excellent throughout the stay. I highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed here overnight. The room was nice, with duvets on the beds. Bathroom was one of the biggest I've ever seen at a hotel. I didn't have breakfast, so I can't say anything about that. The one foible is that to get to the floor where we were staying, only one elevator is available. So leaving and returning to the room was always special. Still, it was a clean room and the staff was very helpful. Would stay here again if I needed to.

Thanks for the kind review of our hotel. It sounds like you may have been on the 13th floor by the way you described the elevators. The 13th floor has an interesting story. Back in the 1920's that floor was used as employee sleeping areas, as many of the staff actually would live at the hotel. The floor was also used as baggage storage and a carpentry shop. When the hotel was remodeled it was only possible to run one elevator car to this floor as that is they way the building was constructed. As you pointed out, the rooms on that floor are larger than most you would see at a hotel. If you are ever back at the hotel, let me know, I would be happy to share some additional interesting information about the hotel and the 13th floor!

This Hilton property was nice! It was older with a classic flair to it but most of the amenities were updated. My son and were attending a college basketball tournament at the Sprint Center and this place was conveniently located only blocks away. I've stayed in the area before but never at this Hilton. There are plenty of eateries around but if it's mid week and your event goes late in to the evening you choices will be slim so plan accordingly. The Drum Bar in the Hotel lobby was cozy but not in a small way. It just felt warm but had enough seating for 25 or more. The Bartenders were excellent and knowledgeable. The hotel staff was also very helpful and pleasant. I had to extend our stay by one night and they made that happen quickly. We had a double queen room. The beds were comfortable as were the pillows (same style you get at most Hilton Properties). The bathroom was very spacious and had been updated to modern amenities. I was very pleased with the cost of the hotel stay and with the hotel itself. I would definitely stay here again. Oh one last thing. Parking is expensive but the Hotel Valet is only $2 more. I would recommend the Valet. Saves a lot of walking.

We had a very nice two night stay. I went to an NFL game while my significant other had fun in the P&L. The Drunken Fish and 801 Chop house were within easy walking distance and very nice. The Hilton has very tasty weekend breakfast. The Drum Room at the Hilton served up a nice nightcap(s).

This is a very good, historic hotel near the Power and Light District. I was not aware of it before I booked but it certainly met my expectations. The Drum Room (bar) has a lot of character. Loved it!

i was on the 13 floor , the room had only port holes for windows , paid top dollar and got old , tired and worn room . with no windows. its a shame the lobby was very historic and reminded me of the Palmer House in Chicago . I think they have not gotten to updating the 13th floor yet. However a windowless room should not be available at a Hilton . The
good part there was a Starbucks in the lobby very nice workers

Room Tip: stay off the 13 floor, old charm not updated besides the TV

Heather,
Thanks for taking a moment to share your thoughts about your visit to our hotel. I am so sorry you did not enjoy the suite you were assigned, especially the windows.
I am sure you were disappointed by the view, and there is a simple explanation for that suite. During the re-model of the hotel we were required to maintain certain design elements that were part of the 1927 construction. One of those elements were the size of the windows on the 13th floor. In 1927 the 13th floor was the home to many hotel associates that worked and actually lived in the hotel.
While this answer does not change your view during your stay, I thought it important that you know why the room was designed and constructed in the way it was.
Again, thanks for your time and your candid review.
