We got in a little early so that was nice. We had a one bedroom condo with an adjoining room. The air conditioner in the single room was the old kind that shuts on and off loudly throughout the night (if that will bother you) but the air in the condo was great. The washing machine did not work, except on the rinse cycle, and none of the mattresses were good. They were actually awful. But, it had a great view of the lake from the balcony, nice new docks, and a decent pool to use. I agree with the other review, they need a no wake zone. We rented a pontoon for two days. One was great; the other was a little older and the grill did have a gas leak so we couldn't use it. Good food at the Kimberling Bowl close by and a grocery store right across the street.

We stayed at the Kimberling Inn last week. We have also stayed at the Ozark Mountain Resort, which is much nicer and much more accommodating. We have stayed here before, but this time was much worse than the last time. The condo had lots of maintenance issues and the front desk staff were not friendly. When we arrived, the air conditioning was not working, so we had to go to a smaller unit that night. They did, thankfully, get it fixed the next day. The sprayer in the kitchen sink did not work and the dishwasher had issues. The bathtub in the main bathroom would not drain the water and the toilet seat was very loose. The staff were not as friendly as what we have experienced in the past and at OMR. One bright spot is that it is close to the lake, but you have to pay $25 per day for a boat slip, which used to be $7.50.

While the title of this Inn states resort you have to remember that you are in Branson. We rented 2 2 bedroom/2 bathroom condo's through VRBO and were very happy. We arrived early and they had already cleaned our room and were able to get in early. It was clean and the AC kept it cave cold if that's what you wanted! The beds were comfy and the kitchen was stocked with most items needed. Towels provided and the unit had a small washer and dryer you could play in the lake and go back next day with clean towels.
The resort has recently undergone new management and they are making improvements. The tornado 2 years ago took a lot and they now have 2 new docks. Great for swimming and lounging in the water. ( They need a no wake zone so boats would be safe there. Pretty choppy area to secure.)
Kimberling Inn also has 3 brand new pontoons for rent and they are awesome. bennington tri-toons. We did 2 half days and they cut through the waves like butter. Randy maintains the boats and is very hospitable. All the staff at the front desk were very accommodating.
The ultimate was the views. The lake views from room 442 were fabulous. Our friends stayed at Schooner resort and I would call those fishing shacks and not resort with a dock that is old.
We highly recommend whats up dock marina for your boats and PWC. They were fantastic there.

Room Tip: 442 great views but far enough from pool. Pool overlooks lake

First off dont expect Hilton like accommodations. This is an older resort on a lake known for fishing. Think nice fisherman resort. My husband, 9 year old daughter, and I rented a 1 br condo for a week. Reading the other reviews I was concerned but with no reason. I am not sure what people expect. It is older but very clean. The tv is small like stated in another review but youre on vacation...are you going to stay infront of the tv?? We didnt hear any bands, it was very quiet. The outdoor pool was nice. Everyone was very nice and when we called for extra towels and a lightbulb to be replaced they were very friendly and prompt in doing so. My only complaint was there is not enough lighting in the units but no big deal! We enjoyed our vacation and our stay. We would definately return. Sometimes you cant believe everything you read, always remember some people are impossible to please!

We spent 7 days in a 2 bedroom condo overlooking the lake. The condo was roomy enough for 7 of us at one point. We really enjoyed the fact there were two decks, one private one off the master bedroom and one off the kitchen. We were a short walk down to the dock and spent a lot of time fishing there. We also rented a pontoon boat right in town for the day. The only complaint I would have is that there is no wi-fi in the rooms. But we were told by the staff that they would be updating that very soon. Also, if you are cooking for more than 2 people, you may want to bring some extra pots and pans as there was only one large pot and one skillet available.

I need to add that if you are looking for a quiet spot, this is not the place for you. It is a very busy cove with lots of boats coming and going at all hours. But all in all, we had a wonderful time and would recommend it to everyone!

Spent a week at Kimberling Inn and found the rooms to be nice - they are a bit dated but they were clean, in good shape, and, with the exception of the second bedroom, very roomy. The second bedroom only had a full sized bed and was a bit cramped. The Living Room and the Master Bedroom had sliding glass doors to a balcony facing the Table Rock Lake.

The folks that operate the Inn were exceptionally friendly and supporting. Per our request for easy access for our elderly parents, they provided a room with the fewest stairs for access and with an incredible view of the lake - this with a two week short notice reservation.

I've rated our stay as very good based on how great the staff were, the ease with which they met our special needs and the comfort of the apartment.

The Kimberling City Resort seems to be a step back in time. It appears to be a 50 year old resort that never quite took off. It has managed to survive, but not to boom. The same can be said about most of the stuff in Kimberling City. It is located close to Branson.
Every year a bridge tournament is held here in the off-season. I have attended the bridge tournament for a decade and always stay at this resort rather than down the highway. The resort makes this a convenient arrangement and it provides attractive off season rates. In 2012 a tornado destroyed the the motel portion of the resort and the old motel has been removed. This year I was moved into a one bedroom condo. The condo appears to have been recently refurbished with new furniture and carpeting. The condo has not been updated (no Wifi, but the cleanliness was excellent. The amenities around the condo are dated, but the weather, scenery, and lake are superb in late fall. Understand without the bridge tournament the resort is largely empty this time of year. With good rate I will probably stay here again.
Regarding the INSULT. When I registered at the Resort, I was told that I needed to sign a $250 breakage and rowdy behavior fee on my credit card. If everything was left in good shape an there no problems, this fee would not be processed on the card. Since I had to get to the tournament I had to sign. Needless to say there had better be no additional charges to my card. This policy was a complete surprised.
