This nature center has multiple trails to choose from depending on the time and energy that you have. The closest trail to the center is a paved trail that is wheelchair and stroller friendly. No bikes are allowed on any of the trails though. We have often seen deer and even baby deer along the trails in the spring. The mile long trail has a couple of bridges, benches and even a very small pond (if you can call it that) where you can look for frogs. Don't forget to go inside the nature center as it is a destination in itself. There is a nice sitting area to view the deer they feed and a variety of birds and wildlife. Children will have fun exploring 2 floors of nature displays, activities and exhibits. You might even see them feeding the fish and turtles. My boys enjoy the puppet area, bees and the tree house. Bathrooms and a small gift shop are also located in the nature center. While the trails are open daily the building is NOT open on Sundays and Mondays.
