Stopped at the Hawthorne Inn in Labadie for lunch. Had a fabulous pasta dish which was big enough for 2 and my friend Loved the cauliflower soup. It is a very nice restaurant ad the tiny town has a used book store with coffee shop and a good antique and homemade crafts store...such fun. They did charge $2 for a split plate which is annoying.

A family owned Restaurant located in Labadie Mo. Over twenty years. A fire destroyed the original Restaurant in 2001 and it was rebuilt in the current location. I was there for lunch around 12:45
Order a steak sandwich well done with fries with no salt, a diet coke. It was done to perfection. If
I would have taken one more diet coke I would have floated out of this restaurant.

We have been here a few times and are pleased every time. The food is really good and the service is great too. Especially at the table. Bar service can be slow and not real friendly but table waiters have been great.

This restaurant was recommended by a business owner and it was much appreciated. There were not many good restaurants in the area so we were glad to have found somewhere worth going to!

Visited here on a Sunday morning . They open at 11. We arrived about 11:30. Very pleasant hostess . Nice menu reasonably priced and large portions served! We had Hawthorne hoagie and blue cheese burger, with bruschetta as an appetizer. The blue cheese burger had lots of blue
Cheese ! We had sweet potato fries( that was a very large portion) and coleslaw as sides. The coleslaw had quite a horseradish kick to it! The bruschetta was served with warm crostini . Very good flavor. All of the staff were very nice, with one exception. There was a young early 20s looking female employee sitting at a high top bar table when we were seated. It was a little before the lung crowd was arriving. She was busy on her cell phone. An old couple ( probably 90ish) shuffled in past her and the gentleman said "hello" as he walked by and was seated. She looked up at him and made a face like"why are you talking to me" and didnt even acknowledge him with a hello. What a shame to see him treats this way! It hurt me to see this.
