My wife, girls and I just spent a week at the Lake of the Ozarks and we had a great time. I had heard from others that the lake could be so crowded that you couldn't waterski. that may be the case in Osage Beach, but it was clear sailing down in Camdenton. We were on the Big Niangua arm of the river and here the water conditions and traffic are much calmer than in the heart of the Party Cove area. The folks at Montego bay Marina were very nice when we rented a pontoon boat and jet skis. Mini golf was fun at Putt N Stuff. Andy's for frozen custard is a must.

We spent one night in this property, and thanked God that's all. First the good, reasonable price, $50.00. Convenient location, easy check-in, Denny's onsite, wireless internet in rooms. Now the bad news, smelly room, (stale pot, incense and/or cigar), broken window locks, unvacuumed floors, generally dirty, thin walls, anemic shower, old coffee grounds in coffeepot, and worst of all, cockroaches crawling up the bathroom walls. We did not ask for comps, only reported problems and were met with excuses instead of resolve to fix problems. Prior to leaving we were offered 20% discount "because we want you to stay with us again". Baymont has always been a great hotel, but this must be a local management problem. Don't stay here unless drunk, desparate, destitute, or dumb. Sorry, I call the good ones good and the bad ones bad. This is BAD!!

This place seems to have something for everyone. If you want to spend the days exploring the region, the Baymont sits at a great intersection just a short distance from Bagnell Dam or Lake of the Ozarks State Park. If you want to spend the day in one place, there's an indoor pool and an outdoor pool, both with great views of the Ozark countryside, plus an adjacent Denny's restaurant. Add the 24-hour coffee service (with flavored syrups), and it's ready for whatever you need.

Our room had a refridgerator and microwave, and the TV had a great cable selection. The sliding door in the back opened to a patio area leading to the outdoor pool. The more modern indoor pool and workout room were available from the interior corridors.

Breakfast was great, especially considering the staff's patience with our slightly tardy arrival. Toaster French toast and toaster waffles, fruit and the usual suspects made a nice start to the day.

The staff was uniformly professional and friendly; even a housekeeper helpfully pointed out a second, closer ice machine when I was walking the opposite direction with an ice bucket.

There's only one reason I'm not rating the Baymont the full 5 stars it otherwise deserves. The parking lot trash cans were overflowing when I arrived in the afternoon, and they had not been emptied by the time I left the next morning. Sometimes that can be a sign of other maintenance oversights, sometimes it's just an ephemeral, isolated problem.

I look forward to visiting here again; I could have spent a week. I hope and expect it will be as nice an experience as this one.

This is one of the best properties we have stayed at in The Lake of the Ozarks. It is right at the corner of the main intersection of Highway 54 & Business 54 at Osage Beach and Lake Ozark, and it is close to everything. The staff is one of the friendliest I have met at a Lake hotel. You feel like they are part of your family by the time you leave. The rooms are very nice with pillowtop mattresses and everything looks like new! The front desk had candy and cookies for the guests and their continental breakfast had something for the whole family. My kids loved the indoor pool and hot tub area, with the game room right there. The manager was there the whole weekend we were there, (we saw her numerous times and she recognized us after we informed her of what a great staff she had.) We really felt they cared about us. This hotel is the greatest, it has a great location, great rooms, great people, great perks and everything looked like new. We went next door for lunch at the Denny's and got it to go, so we could sit out on our balcony, the weather was great and the leaves were beautiful. You won't be disappointed by this one. This is one of the best Baymonts we have ever stayed at!
