Service was great - campground was nice and tidy. We were right by the river. Saturday night, I thought quiet hour was at 10 or 11, however I was not given any camp guidelines to follow upon check-in. The noise level actually increased after 11 and went on and on into 2 or 3 in the morning. Sunday night was like a ghost town, so we actually got some sleep. Other than that, we had a nice time there and the facilities were decent. The river and beach area there is nice to stay for the day.

I was there during the above reviewers' stay. The owner had to repeatedly ask them to stop blowing an obnoxious horn after numerous (I know of at least 4) families complained about her. The owner was very polite and continued to remind her that it was a family campground, but this person would not have it. When they state people were trying to relive their college days- well, that was them. This campground is clean and very welcoming. They also provided a FREE concert for campers one evening. We have no complaints and actually are quite thankful the owners lived up to their committment of being a family campground. It's a shame that just anyone can get on here and spout lies. I wouldn't want to take my kids to some of the other campgrounds located in the area- they ARE party places. This is a location I can take my family and not worry what they will see and hear thanks to the owner's standards and committment to keep it family friendly. Shame on those people for a) acting that way and b) trying to mud the reputation of Riversedge, simply because they were asked to abide by the rules and then leave when they chose not to.

We generally only camp during the week to avoid twenty something drunks on the river and in campgrounds who believe they own all of the air and space in a campground and on a river. We couldn't do that this year and were forced to go tent camping on a weekend. Bad idea. The campground was full of twenty something "non family" cussing, drunk, misogynistic, cretins. They advertise this as a family campground but it isn't - they will take anyone's money (and a lot of it!). Beach is great, river is wonderful, restrooms ok, but not on weekends. This place is really beautiful without people, but unfortunately there are a lot of people destroying the pristine vibe you should be getting. Campsites are fairly crowded as well so study their map well before booking. You could find yourself right next to the kind of kids who think they are in their parents' basements til 3 a.m. playing drinking games and reliving their fraternity and sorority days.

Camp sites seem quite adequate and we appreciate the "party cove" atmosphere being eliminated. The owners prior to the present owners were as we (forgive my snobbishness)say "just not our kind of people" . The present owners want things to be as good as possible for campers. All trash containers were empty, containers to recycle available, beach clean and stables clean too for those who bring their own horses. This facility no longer rents horses. Maybe my allergic son can go there now.

Room Tip: We slept at Wilderness Lodge and accessed the river at Riversedge but have camped there before when we were better equipped to sleep on the ground.

We stayed at the Riversedge Campground on Memorial Weekend 2013 and had the time of our lives. Great accommodations with water and electricity on the site, clean nearby potty/shower house, and great staff. We had kids with us, so safety is always a concern, but never was worried. They had a really good band playing and everybody had fun. Thanks. The float was awesome for the whole family, too. The kids got a large raft and the adults got canoes and kayaks. They took us up river and dropped us off and all we had to do is kick back and relax. Our float ended right back at the campsite....no portage or bus ride back. Thanks.

Room Tip: If you travel with horses. They have campsites with horse stalls. And 30+ miles of great trails.
