After walking four miles along the Katy Trail from Dutzow on a pleasantly warm bright sunny Sunday at the beginning of November we stopped in Marthasville for lunch before heading back.
We mooched around this sleepy village by the trail until we found this place which had a closed sign on the door, yet there were people eating inside so we went in.
Basically it does pizzas and sandwiches and is mainly a take-away but there are quite a few tables and pleasant waitress service.
Mrs P has a pizza and said it was OK, I ordered a BLT and side salad. It came in a submarine roll and the bacon was all tiny crumbly bits which fell out. The salad was good.
They don’t do adult drinks unfortunately – no hot coffee or tea, just cold fizzy sweet soft drinks from a self serve dispenser.
Filled a gap in our stomachs, ready for the walk back to Dutzow.
If you go there, head to the restrooms at the back and on a wall there’s an interesting very large scale map of the area.
(if you’re coming off the Katy Trail Philly’s faces the trail and is in sight of it on the first street that runs parallel, behind some huge upright metal storage tanks)
