“Best in Nevada”
Reviewed 10 April 2012

Was here for a wedding, along with our two children. We had the one-bedroom suite which was very nice and accomodating. A little on the pricey side for a hotel in the country and the rooms were noisy from road traffic, but service and rooms were great!

We were in Nevada to visit a relative at Cottey C. Spent two nights here. Friendly staff, clean rooms. Slept well. I'm picky about motels .....for a small town this motel is a great choice!

Rooms were clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hot breakfast good for a Hotel of this class. I would recommend this as the place to stay in Nevada.

My room was a business suite on the second floor #221. I found the hotel clean and very well kept. The breakfast was average for this level of hotels. They did have pre-prepared hot foods that, again, was about what one might expect. The only issue that I have is the extremely slow wi-fi connection. For uploading or downloading business data it will take next to forever.

The title says it all. The friendly lady at the front desk welcomed tired, travel- weary us with delicious cookies; the decor was homey and inviting. The room was an adequate size for a one night stay and very clean. The woman in charge of breakfast took pride in keeping the area clean, well-stocked, and tasty.
The indoor pool was great fun too!

I have stayed at this hotel multiple times since it opened and have never had any problems that weren't quickly/easily resolved. I try to keep my expectations reasonable (this is a small rural community, folks). The rooms are clean, breakfast ample, small pool for wearing kids out, cable TV works...that's the extent of my needs and expectations here. On one occasion, I got into a smokey room and the front staff did their best to clean up the air with a purifying system, then moved me when that didn't work. I recommend the hotel for travelers who are passing through on the interstate and need a safe place to sleep or those visiting the College or community. For lunch or dinner, drive down HWY 54 to the square (good Mexican Restaurant) or for a taste of history, try the White Grill (burger and suzy cues).

Room Tip: King suites are spacious with kitchenettes and pull out sofas. Much larger than standard rooms!

For this hotel being close to the middle of nowhere, they sure charge like they're in the city! I was helping a friend move, and by the time we got to the hotel we were exhausted. We stood at the front desk for over 10 minutes waiting for the clerk. Finally called their phone out of desperation and the clerk comes strolling in from outside wanting to know if it was us that was calling! I about had a heart attack when she said the room was $120 a night, but was too exhausted to consider going to the Super 8 across the road. We actually rented 2 rooms, and my friend's kids ended up moving twice because the toilet in the first room was dirty, and the second room had a flea infestation, although strangely no pets are allowed. They comped her room after the second move. And, even though breakfast was boasted about by the desk clerk, it was basically a hot breakfast with frozen breakfast burritos and sausage gravy. I was totally unimpressed by the decor, as it is older, the quality of the bed, pillows and sheets (the fitted was pilled, obviously not cotton!), and the service at the desk. In hindsight I think we should have taken our chances at the Super 8 across the street!

Room Tip: Go to a different hotel!!
