“Beautiful cottage ”
Reviewed 27 March 2018 for a stay in January 2018

A relaxing weekend away with friends (including the well behaved dogs) in such a lovely spot. The cottage is very well equipped and beautifully decorated. It’s a great place for walking and bird watching. Also staggering distance from the pub on a Sunday night after the quiz.

“Beautifully restored cottage in unspoilt village.”
Reviewed 21 December 2017 for a stay in December 2017

The cottage is remarkably spacious and very well equipped and decorated. Really cosy thanks to the heating + wood burner. Although it's on the main street, it was really quiet and there's no noise from the very good pub a few doors down.
Weardale itself is beautifully wild, we saw a salmon from the footbridge over the Wear just round the back. Some great walks, especially High Force and Cauldron Snout ( over in Teesdale).
I'm sure we'll be back .
