“Gem of a café”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 August 2014

We called in yet again on our way through the beautiful Weardale for tea and scone. As always a warm and friendly welcome with good conversation and excellent food. We have been eating here since it opened and have yet to be disappointed. Don’t pass by, call in and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere.

“Glad I called in!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 August 2014

I am so glad I called back to Chatterbox Cafe this summer because I was absolutely stunned by the transformation! New kitchen, new display cases, a lot more staff and...the most wonderful little glass milk bottles instead of milk jugs!!! I teasingly joked in my last review that the experience was like a Ken Dodd show without the timings - well, the owner is really getting into his stride remembering orders and his staff are all so friendly. I really do think that this is the nicest, most down to earth cafe I have ever visited. You must go!

“Go out of your way to visit!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 August 2014 via mobile

We called to Chatterbox for lunch today and what an experience. The owner Cameron was the most friendly and chatty person you could meet. What a smashing chap! The food was nicely presented and enough of it. Tea and coffee were refilled for free. When in the area we will certainly call again!!

“Memorable”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 August 2014

It's not often I'd think about writing a review for a little cafe that I'd popped in for a sandwich and a coffee. Read the rest of the reviews here and get yourself along to see what it's all about. Good food, free coffee but much more than that. This was a chance visit but every time we pass from now on we'll be popping in. Bacon is the best in the North East!

“Nice Tea”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 July 2014

Stopped here for a cup of tea on a recent bike ride. It was fairly early so it wasn't busy. Very welcoming and nice atmosphere. Didn't eat but the food looked good.
I would recommend stopping here on your way through Weardale.
