My Dad & I booked a twin room here to get a head start on the crowds at nearby Alton Towers resort. The staff were very friendly and incredibly helpful (they recommended nearby pubs & gave us tips to avoid crowds and queuing times at the theme park.)
The room itself was quaint and adequate. Nicely decorated, but we both found the beds to be too soft for our liking, and the old floorboards, although obviously suited to the style of the cottage, were nervewracking to walk on especially after a few drinks. They sloped substantially and creaked a lot. Eep!
The bathroom was well decorated, clean and very appealing. Probably well suited to a romantic weekend.
Location wise, it was easy to find, and within easy driving distance to Alton Towers and other local sights. Be warned though, mobile/cell phone reception in the area is practically non-existence, so bring a map & warn your loved ones just in case. We got in trouble when we weren't able to let others know we'd arrived. Sorry!More
