This place has everything. The best of everything. It's beautiful. Very relaxing. Very accommodating. It's very expensive, but worth it. I highly recommend it for families, couples, business or friends. Everyone will love it.

Room Tip: Book the presidential suite.

We had our family get together for Thanksgiving, without the standard food and without being on Thanksgiving day. Big Cedar is a wonderful way to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, have good rooms and room service, while being surrounded by the great outdoors of southern Missouri. The autumn air was brisk in the morning; the afternoon was warm without being uncomfortable. All the outdoor beckons trail hiking and activities. You gotta go!

Room Tip: In the connecting rooms, one side has a full kitchen, while the other side has a kitchenette.

I travel a lot for business and with the family. This place had lots of family-friendly activities as well as places to relax. I've stayed in a lot of timeshare properties and this one stood apart in terms of peace and quiet.

we stayed in the fishermans cabins for 5 days and brought our dog with us. We are soooo happy that we made the choice to stay at Big Cedar, the food, the staff, the service the ambience was above a 5 star rating. we rented a pontoon boat for two days and went fishing with our puppy and caught some great Bass. Every part of Big Cedar is a 5 star operation, the pools the transportation, everything! We are planning for more escapes to Big Cedar. THANK YOU BIG CEDAR FOR A GREAT TIME!

Room Tip: All rooms are great but opt for a lake view if you can.

This was our second time to enjoy Big Cedar, and as expected the place was just exceptional. Clean to the highest expectation. Service that resets the standard. And the beauty of the Ozarks is just capped off by this awesome place. The food at every location on the property, was what you would expect from a place of this character. If you visit Big Cedar, you must make time to visit their Dog Wood Canyon Nature Park. Truly one of the most peaceful, beautiful places I have ever visited. Just a few minutes from downtown Branson and you absolutely must stay here at least once when you go there. It is not a cheap place to stay, but if you ever plan to splurge on a vacation, this is the one place where you will never be disappointed with that decision.

Room Tip: You can choose a room, suite, or a cabin. But whichever you prefer, the atmosphere and the decor is...

We have been to this resort 3 times so it's safe to say it is one of our favorite destinations, but we have to save money for a long time in advance. The cabins there are nice and cozy. You get the feeling of seclusion and a great view off your private deck, yet there are plenty of people around and lots to do. There is a luxurious, 6-head shower and whirlpool tub in the bathroom, but sadly, never enough towels for everybody. Also, the kitchenette is ample, but there isn't enough cookware to cook a big meal and we started bringing our own silverware with us because there are only 4 forks and spoons provided which doesn't work for our family of 6. It is really fun to rent a boat at the marina and spend the day on the lake, but this outing costs around 300 dollars for 4 hours. The grounds are just beautiful, lots of flowers and greenery, and plenty of activities for the kids to get involved in like fishing, horseback riding, and swimming in one of the many pools or the lazy river. My only gripes would be the inflated prices, especially at the gift shop where a tiny t-shirt costs 20 bucks or more, and they try to get you to take a tour and listen to a timeshare pitch with the bait of taking a little bit of cost off your stay. Despite that, we will most likely keep coming back to this resort, it is just too pretty to pass up.

Room Tip: the lakeside cabins are more secluded than staying in one of the lodges
