“The best weekend!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 December 2013

This was another great weekend at Big Cedar Lodge. It has been 7 years since we had last been here and so much has changed... a beautiful new chapel, a huge convention center, updates in rooms, a new bar/lounge and they are starting to build a 18,000 sq foot spa. The staff and amenities are amazing. There is no way not to have a great time. It was just me and my husband, so it was extremely romantic. We stayed a few nights at Valley View (highly recommend room 385) then moved to a cozy cottage for the last night (#506). I'm not sure which we liked better but was elated at the beauty, quaint, romantic feel they both offered. If you are considering going somewhere else, it would be a mistake. Give Big Cedar a chance, you wont be disappointed!

Room Tip: Room 385 in Valley View is amazing. Great view of lake, chapel and the resort in general. Cottage 5...

We have made Big Cedar Lodge a regular for our family! It is a beautiful resort that sits right n Table Rock Lake. So many things to do.... Boating, fishing, hiking, play grounds for kids, gift shop, scheduled family activities, a wonderful spa, restaurants and so much more!

The staff is friendly and willing to help. The rooms are EXTREMELY clean and spacious. The resort grounds are breath-taking! The indoor and outdoor pools are beautiful and well maintained. The restaurants have great food and and service. We LOVE staying here and plan to return as long as we can!

Branson is a family friendly town with LOADS of things to do. The shows are great, the restaurants, etc.... We usually go in the fall season. The tourist season seems to be low in October so getting tickets for shows and special events isn't to difficult.

The views, staff, and property were amazing. We stayed the weekend after Thanksgiving and the weather was perfect to enjoy the grounds. (Not to mention the outdoor hot tubs overlooking the lake) Beautiful room with our own fireplace, balcony and jacuzzi tub. Complimentary shuttles that will take you through out the resort so you can enjoy all of their amenities and great restaurants. More of a romantic place in the early winter, but could see more of a family resort in the spring/summer

Our best friends and my wife and I stay at Big Cedar every year over the Memorial Day weekend Holiday. What a wonderful way to spend a holiday with best friends in a little slice of heaven nestled away in the hills and Table Rock Lake, oh so close to Branson.

One of our best friends has a boat they bring every year so we get to spend ample time on the lake by day, and under the stars at night for a moonlight cruise. There is plenty of things to see and do here on this property as well as in Dogwood Canyon about a 20 min ride away, but still owned by the same Bass Pro family and it lives up to Johnny's high standards as well. This past year we participated in a long horn cattle drive which is as real as it gets, complete with cattle which attack and have no desire to go where you tell them too. But it was one of the best things to do here in many years.

Food, oh my, so much to choose from, and for any occasion. We just happen to be "Buzzards" so we enjoy the more relaxed atmosphere in there.

I highly recommend going here anytime of the year and celebrate whatever it is you have to celebrate, or just relax in your cabin or loft, and let nature sink in.....

This is a very unique operation. We came for Thanksgiving with friends. They have several lodges and cabins. We were all indifferent areas but would meet up for meals. They have several options for meals. So everyone can find something that meets there needs.

This resort is amazing wemalways enjoy our stay here. We have never had a bad time and always look forward to our next visit. Whether you take a walk or rent a boat and go out on the lake it is always very relaxing. Their restaurants have great meals and are always clean and friendly. The staff from maids, to shuttle drivers are friendly and infomative. The buzzard bar and restaurant always has some good entertaiment and will give a good evening without leaving the resort.

Room Tip: stay in the falls lodge for a great view

This was our first stay at Big Cedar after numerous recommendations from friends and family over the years. Considering the stellar comments, our expectations were high. This was a 25th anniversary trip and we were NOT disappointed. Our welcome was warm and the staff and service were exemplary. Our lakeside cabin was plush and perfectly romantic, with a lovely view of the lake. Beautiful weather and fantastic walking/hiking opportunities make this an ideal spot to get out-of-doors. The on-site restaurants are unique, with great local flavor. There is something for everyone at Big Cedar, from couples to families, young and old. We are definitely planning to return!

Room Tip: The Lakeside Cabins on the other side of the cove from the resort are wonderful. They are uniquely...
