Stop in Rock Port, MO from a very long road trip with 5 hours still to go. Daughter was very tired of McDonald's so we decided to check out the restaurant called the trails end in a little c-store. Boy we are sure happy we stopped. The room is very western/country. Fairly busy as well considering it was 8 pm. Great menu choices you can even have breakfast all day. I recommend anything on the menu just add the all you can eat salad/soup bar. Its only 2.99 added to any entree, sandwich, or burger. Everything here is homemade from scratch. I am not talking just remove things from cans and make something but from real fresh ingredients. Oh I should mention the platters for burgers and sandwiches all come with endless fries, and all priced between 7 and 10 dollars. All the food was amazing from the blt, chicken fried steak, real chicken fingers, and hamburger. So yourself a favor and the next time you are driving on the 29 and you see Rock Port, Mo stop and grab some gas/fireworks and more importantly some amazing food at a real value. The Trails End is a hidden gem that needs to shared with everyone
