We went into the station on a Sunday night for dinner so it was a bit quiet to begin with. Lots of tourist shops, bunch of restaurants, nothing stood out but the building itself is fantastic if you love architecture. We had dinner at a Carribean place called Teranga Grill. The food there was fantastic, waiters very pleasant. Will go back again when it's warmer, and on a livelier night.

The refurbishment of the station is great but there's not a lot to do once you've had a scout around. The food options are limited mainly to fast food outlets but a meal we had in Landry's was pretty nice. The pond with the fish was interesting as was the plaza, nothing happening when we were there but I can imagine it being a pleasant enough venue. All in all, well worth having a look to see the architecture.

Overall a good experience but started out a little rough. Arrived about 3, we had reserved a suite and they said the bedroom was being cleaned, so we could only get into the sitting room. That was fine, but over an hour later when I checked again, it was still being cleaned! Finally got access in time to get ready for the concert and things were OK after that.

Union Station is fine to swing by and see, but don't plan to make a day of it. If you are really in to see Hard Rock Cafe or buy some touristy stuff, stop by and see it, but that's about all it is good for.

Oh, it's also very close to the area where the St. Louis Blues hockey team plays and has very nearby parking. That's a bonus if you want to eat dinner there and then walk to the Blues game.

Because dad was an executive on the B & O, my family of origin had free rail passes during my youth. There were always rail trips to Washington, D.C., Cincinnati, St. Louis,….

My memories of St. Louis Union Station are powerful, and the St. Louis Union Station seemed much nicer than many U.S. airports.

Fortunately, one might enjoy light rail from the airport to the St. Louis Union Station.

The former B & O hotel has been succeeded by numerous other brands, and there is very nice parking by the St. Louis Union Station.

The current bi-level mall in the St. Louis Union Station requires a visit as does the exterior artwork of this fine property.

We recommend Laundry’s as our restaurant of choice.
