There isn't anything here to see. Ther is a couple of hotels and a Hard Rock Cace (ick) and that is about it. There is a pond in the idle where you can rent paddle boats, but it's small and would probably appeal only to small persons (say, under 10 or so). Out back are a couple of old train cars, but since the signs say you can't get on them, you could as easily check out the cars at the "real" train station. It is a cool space, and has lots of potential, but not worth the trip today.

Such a loss to have this magificent structure with so few businesses. I visited St.Louis in the early 1990's. Was a busy, exciting place. So sorry to see it so vacant.
The building is worth the visit!

I parked out front of the Union Station hotel and was excited since one of my favorite places is Union Station in KC. Stop now and don't waste your time. The majority of stores and restaurants are closed down. Sad to see

90 % of the retail and restaurant space is empty. We figured we'd salvage the visit by taking the walking tour. That too has been shut down with directions to instead visit another portion of the interior - which is only accessible by card key to patrons of the Doubletree Hotel attached. Pretty much a waste of our time - would have loved to see it but we couldn't get to anything that was still functional.

This is a cool spot with a lot of neat history. Unfortunately, no one is maintaining it, fostering growth, or promoting it. There is a ton of potential here, but it was sad to see so few shops/restaurants open.
