None of the plants were in bloom and had to cost extra to go into the lego exhibit. Better to try to go again in the spring or fall for anyone.

The Missouri Botanical Garden located in Shaw Park is a masterpiece. It is a great place for all ages as always something special or a lovely place to have tranquility and take in nature in all it's art forms.

We went to the botanical garden specifically to see the Lego exhibit currently there. They gave out pamphlets for the kids with questions about each Lego creation. We have been to LEGOLAND, so it isn't like that, but it was really well done and forced the kids to read the signs about the display in order to answer the questions. The children's area of the garden looked really great, but we ran out of time to do it. We didn't plan nearly enough time for the garden because you could easily spend more than half a day here. Both kids and parents will love this garden.

We were able to see the Lego exhibit. It was AWESOME! However, after that, we had a large group of 8-9 year olds who got bored with the place pretty quickly. If you have a group of adults or if you are just an adult who enjoys things like this, then you will like this. If you have small kids, you'll get about an hours worth of entertainment from this for them.
The gardens are beautiful and the Legos were pretty neat. If I go back, I will make sure that I am kid free!

The gardens can be your day or half day of repose in St. Louis. There are many sections dedicated to specialized flowers, themes, Japanese gardens, ponds, etc. There is also a wonderful cafe in the premises with generous portions.
