My husband and I (still sounds weird to say that!) had the fortune of booking the 100th reservation for our 24 hour honeymoon at the Moonrise. The location is awesome, the staff attentive (as well as oddly all attractive) and professional, and the experience very pleasant. Comfortable beds, nicely appointed rooms. We never did figure out how to work the phone off of speaker, but that hardly mattered when the jacuzzi tub worked so well. We ordered an extra robe, which came promptly, albeit delivered by a young hotel employee who sweetly smirked at my husband when he opened the door. Overall, the staff could not have been more friendly or helpful.
We also happened to end up at the first floor bar late Saturday night opening weekend. It was also nicely appointed and a cool spot to hang. The bouncer at the end sounded like he'd had entirely enough of the crowd by the tone of his voice at last call. We thought the drinks were expensive and not generously poured, but having said that, we will go back and would take friends there to see how it evolves.
The parking situation could stand some improvement. We are locals, so we knew the drill, but if you were from out of town, I think some more signage coming from the parking lot and more of an entrance from the back would be very helpful and more inviting.
